Wedding invitations

Heather, on December 12, 2012 at 10:17 AM Posted in Planning 0 21

Good Morning Ladies! Where did everyone get there invitations from? I am starting to look now and would really like to spend under 3.50 per person but would also like the reception card and rsvp card included. Is that to much to expect for the price? Thanks!

I got mine from VistaPrint - and I actually just ordered mine. I found a design i really liked on there and they were originally priced at $300... i googled "vistaprint coupons" and it took me to retailmenot.com for coupons... after clicking on that link, it brought the price down and I ended up only spending $160 for 120 invitations, rsvp cards, reception cards & all envelopes included!

if you can find a design you like, it's worth it Smiley smile

Vistaprint!! You can click on my picture, on my profile I have a link to my haul for less than $40. With a VP Groupon and discount links, many ladies have spent less than $100 for invites, RSVPs, inserts, menus, programs, address labels, and probably a little more.

Now, if you prioritize the invites and want fancy invites, VP isn't the place. But if you're on a budget or don't care about the invites much, VP is a great option.

Vista Print! I spent under $150 for 150 invites, 150 rsvps and 200 thank you cards that all match! basically you can to wait for sales. PLUS the more invites you buy the cheaper it gets per invite.

Sales aren't even necessary. $38.66 total for the following:

2 Unplugged wedding lawn signs, w/ holders

250 business cards, black & white on front & back, matte stock (favor cards)

100 postcards, uploaded color design on each side, recycled matte stock, w/ envelopes (invitations/RSVPs)

20 note cards (standard size), color front & back, matte stock (table cards)

1 notepad (envelope liners – I have WAY more envelopes than I need)

100 oversized postcards, color, recycled matte stock (programs)

    1 pen

50 thank you notes, matte finish (English)

10 thank you notes, matte finish (Spanish)

10 rehearsal dinner invitations, matte finish

140 return address labels with my new last name for thank you cards

All are welcome to PM me for tips/tricks to save even more with VP!!

I looked at VP Michaels and recently Exclusively Wedding, but could not find anything we liked better. We are considering the 2 invitations below which we found on David's Bridal.

Hey there Heather H - I ordered my invitations through MI Designs at Michaels website:

    http://www.michaels.com/on/demandware.static/Sites-Michaels-Site/Sites-Michaels-Library/default/go/midesign/midesign-at-michaels.htm

They have several invitation templates with matching RSVP Cars, Reception Cards, Note/Thank You Cards, etc. I purchased invites that came with inner and outer envelopes. They will include return address at no additional charge on the outer envelope.

I also purchased the matching RSVPs that also came with envelopes which also included the printing of the return address on the envelope at no additional charge.

I was able to personalize/customize both the invite and RSVP with our own wording. They have very good color palette and you can select from a range of different fonts, etc.

I didn't purchase recpetion cards because I was able to add at the bottom of the invite where the reception will be held.

Do a search for Ann's Wedding Bargains - they have a lot of great sales. Vistaprint is good, but you will have to have some kind of design skills. Michael's is also good if you are a good dyi'er. I love Zazzle.com and you could see what they have on sale - they can be pricey, but do have good deals.

I am probably going to use exclusivelyweddings.com. My top pick right at this moment is the "stylish duet wedding invitation."

3.50 a set is not too much depending on the quantity. About how many invitations were you needing?
