First off, do you have a picture of your dress that you can upload on here? That would help alot to figure out what kind of slip you will need Smiley smile But a MUST HAVE is a longline strapless bra for sure!!!

    I had:

    • A garter

    • Dominique style 8950 Longline Strapless Smooth Torsolette Wedding Bra

    • Spanx Higher Power

    • David's Bridal Style 603 Crinoline

I didn't bother with pantyhose, since my dress was long enough to cover my legs.

I wore nothing under my dress... it was floor length and I had enough trouble going pee as is. I didn't want to have help.

I went commando. the spanx, the longline bra all annoyed the crap out of me. I can't even imagine wearing panty hose, I HATE those things with a passion. If you do decide to wear the, wear the stockings that stay up by themselves (you buy them at Victoria Sercret)

Well, I wrote a whole article about the peeing part. LOL

However, given my age and weight, I figured I needed all the architectural underwear I could get.

I wore (all while being pregnant-keep that in mind!) :

    -A long line bra

-Sexy boyshorts that read 'sexy lil bride'

    -Control top nude pantyhose

-A (maternity) belly band (to help hold UP the panties and hose and hold DOWN the longline over my bump!)

AND I DID have to pee!!

15 minutes before my walk down the aisle,I was like "oh sh!t,I've gotta pee!!".

I straddled the toilet backwards (with help from my MOH) and I reached under my dress (poofy ballgown I might add!) and pulled my panties and hose down.

Then I had to get it all back up!

    It wasn't too bad really.

I scared a few men away from the bathroom door by yelling "I'm peeing in my wedding dress!!" lol

Thigh highs are a definite unless your going with bare legs. I like the ones that stay up on your own, but if you want to wear a garter belt make sure you put the panties on after the garter and stockings so you can pull them down to pee...a lot of people make the mistake of putting them on first like you see in lingerie ads. No way in hell I would wear panty hose...will be hard enough to pee without wriggling out of those damn things!

Let's see a pic of your dress then we can tell you for sure...but I don't think pantyhose are necessary under any bridal gown.

My dress was a corset back and had some boning in the bodice, so I just had cups sewn in the dress and went with no bra (and my gals are on the bigger side: 36D). I had no problems with the dress moving or fear of it falling down, and the gals looked good as well Smiley winking. I hate strapless bras, I can never find one that doesn't cause me to have to adjust it. Plus with the boning in my dress I think I would have felt trapped in a prison if I had a longline bra on as well. I also wore panties, but no panty hose. The only time my legs were really seen was for the garter removal, so I say why bother with the hassle of panty hose.

I was considering wearing a pull me in bodice or something but I felt I had enough material etc with the dress and wanted to be able to breathe!

I went bare legged, no corset, some sexy black pants, and the least sexy flesh toned strapless bra you have ever seen in your whole life!

I bought a black slinky nightie to put on after the dress came off (minus the knickers!) to make up for it

I'm wearing a long-line bra, boy shorts, and no stockings (my shoes are open-toed, anyway). We're not doing a garter toss, so I don't need to worry about my legs being on display.

I am on the same lines with @BethP. I had a corset back and had cups sewn right in, no bra needed. On my wedding day I wore, undies and a garter. Then something sexy for afterwards of course ;-)

I have a long line torsolette in a pretty lace, not easy to find BTW, and a pair of thigh high stay ups with a sandal foot... I like to keep my legs warm, and the sandal foot will keep my toes together (I have pigeon toes Smiley sad ). I will not wear hose as "she" get WAY to hot.

Thanks for the responses ladies! My thumb drive where I saved my pictures got corrupted! I will try to post one that I have in my email. Don't think this will help.

My dress is a mermaid type dress. The tiniest seam prints through. I want to wear pantyhose only because I like the smooth, uni-toned look I get in pics. The only issue is that a pantyhose seam, I am sure will print through. I guess I should try it. I got seamless underwear from VS, but something tells me I will go "commando".

Not wearing a bra, the seamstress put cups in. I am an A cup, it was sooo hard to find a long line Acup and again, even the seamless bras print.

Thank you! I took the pix of the computer because I didn't want FH to accidentally stumble upon them. Put them on a thumb drive, that later got corrupted. So I have one pic that my MOH sent me.. I am adding pearl pink sash, that I will tie around my waist. The same ruffles you see on the train, are around the neckline and around the back (as you can see here)...

My dress needs a slip (ballgown) but besides that the only thing i'm wearing is cute white vs underwear that say "bride" and a garter...
