Wearing a ring 24/7?

I take mine off when I’m showering, doing yard work, or sleeping. Swells up when I’m sleeping and I can’t take it off but it’s someone’s own personal preference

I take mine off before going to bed, and usually take it off when doing heavy cleaning.

I wear it 24/7. I only take it off if I know I am about to do something messy and that's if I remember to do so.

I take mine off too when i get home honestly. I think its preference and the older generation are just use to wearing it all the time. My mom said something to me about not wearing mine but its like a force of habit at this point (7 months later ) I tried to sleep in my ring the other day and was just so mindful it was there is was so strange.

Hi! I take my ring off if I’m cleaning, doing dishes or doing yard work. As you said, I don’t want my ring to lose its shine or to get damaged in any way. I’ve also taken my ring off when I travel and just use another ring in its place. It doesn’t bother my fiancé at all and no one has ever said anything to me about it - not that it’s their business anyway.

24/7 even though most people wouldn't think I would with my job... I'm an EMT... But my fiance did a phenomenal job picking out a ring that didn't stick up too high so I could wear it at work...

I wear mine all the time. I'm afraid to take it off and misplacing it somewhere and it gets lost

I take mine off when I’m cooking, cleaning, showering, and sleeping. Everyone judged me for not wearing it 24/7, but I’ve had friends who got mold stuck under the ring and had to take it off. This was due to never taking it off and as a result had to go through a week without wearing it. I say it’s up to you! A lot of sites recommend that during certain activities you take it off to avoid certain things getting on the metal or the possibility of the stone loosening in its set.

I take mine off to shower/sleep& do dishes. I have a silicone ring I wear to workout & to the beach/pool.

I wear mine all the time. However, I take it off when I shower or if I know my hands are going to get really dirty.

Girrrrl, we are the smart ones! I always take mine off when I get home from work each day, put it on a ring stand, and then put it back on before I leave the house the next morning. This way I know exactly where it is at all times and don’t have to worry about forgetfully taking it off to work out or do dishes or whatever it may be. Rings also have a tendency to snag on tiny bedding fibers when we sleep which can damage prongs and loosen stones over time (especially pave diamonds), so even more reason not to wear it all the time. I do have a Qalo silicone ring for when I’m doing anything where I don’t feel comfortable wearing my actual ring, which is a stylish alternative. Don’t worry about the people who think they have a say in your day to day decisions, they aren’t the ones that would be devastated if your ring got lost or damaged from wearing it 24/7.

I take mine off when I shower or when I’m doing something that I have to get my hands dirty for. Otherwise I wear it all the time.

I only take my ring off during certain activities. Like washing dishes or showering or swimming (especially in the lake). Those r places I can lose it and possibly never get it back. My ring can always be cleaned.

I wear mine alllll the time! I sleep with it on! Only cases I take it off is when I’m doing dishes, cooking to where my hands will get sloppy, hand washing my clothes in the sink and occasionally I leave it on to shower 🙃

I work at a hospital and when i first got engaged i wanted to wear it all the time; however it was getting caught while putting gloves on and i realized how often i bummed my hand into things. After that I got a silicone ring to wear at work, the gym, the beach, lake, etc.

I take it off when showering and washing dishes. No way this is going down a drain. LOL

I take mine off to shower, wash dishes, and sometimes when I'm crafting or doing something that makes my ring catch on stuff, or I'll turn it sideways/backwards where the gems are not as much in the way. It feels really weird not having it on, and I'm very prone to losing stuff, so I literally have hooks by the shower, sink, and I have a tray on my craft table I place it in so I know exactly where it is. To each her own though!

I wear mine at home because my hands are not always getting dirty all the time at home. I take it off when I lotion my hands and when I remove my eye makeup at night, and when getting my hands into a dirty dish while cooking, and whenever doing deep cleaning. I take it off if I ever go into the pool, but that's only because there is a slight chance that there may be a little bit of white gold in my Platinum band and I do not want it to turn! When I return to the gym to lift weights, I will certainly not be wearing it because I don't want the barbells and dumbbells to ruin the gorgeous band!!! I clean my ring about once a week in an ultrasonic cleaner, and that keeps me from gasping at any little drop of oil or speck of dust that may come near my treasured and much-loved ring. I think you're doing just fine though wearing it out, and if you are more comfortable taking it off at home without losing it, then go for it. I would lose mine if I wasn't so used to wearing it ALL the time!
