YES, I posted a few times about my frustration LOL. We had another venue on hold but we weren't happy with it, we didn't put any money down, it was just a courtesy hold. And we just couldn't find anything we like in the location we wanted, so we just threw it out there and decided let's change our date so we can do what we wanna do where we wanna do it! haha

Good luck. We just dropped off our application to the venue we want. We are flexible in the dates. Very exciting time.

Thanks ladies :-) we need it! If we are going to pull this off... we were really trying to do October... so IF we do get to book it, I will officially change our wedding date on here hehe. I am half tempted to go down there tomorrow and slap about 6 grand on the desk and be like BOOK IT NOW haha

@Lisa hehe, yay! Me too! My mom said it would make her so happy, her bday is May 9th and she wanted me to have it sooner becuase of her health. This would seriously solve all of my issues!! Might have to get my butt in gear a little more to plan a little quicker! But we have the dj and florist, won't need transportation since everything is in the same place, and i have some MUA's in mind. Just need an officiant, dress, bms are trying on dresses thanksgiving weekend, FH's tuxes.... already have invitation/print stuff person in mind...

@heather -- I think this is the same place that Carole's daughter had her wedding in August. Might be worth a PM to her before you slap anything down.

It is!! I read everything she said about it. Most people have a lot of good things to say, and all the details she said they missed I will make sure to double check lol. We really loved it and it is exactly what we want. There is no where else around that has what they have for the price. Tax and gratuity is included in their pricing which makes everything a whole lot easier!

Heather-- we have barely started planning and we are in May too, so no stress! All we have is an officiant/venue/print stuff lol

Lol ok that definitely makes me feel better :-) I posted on facebook to see how people feel about the whole memorial day thing and just as we suspected everyone was very accepting, since we would give them plenty of notice... I am so excited, and this will definitely get me going! We still have to do engagement pics and hoping to get our save the date together quickly!!!

And as far as time, we got married ~9 months after we got engaged, so you will be all good

Oh haha i knew what you meant ;-) Sounds good to me! I am starting to get really excited because I have been stressing about the venue, I emailed them to let them know I definitely want that date and to let me know if the other girl confirms. Hopefully they call her tomorrow and she will tell them she already found another place but forget to let them know LOL.

When will you know about the venue? Keep us updated!

Well hopefully by Monday, but I am gonna call tomorrow to make sure they call her and let her know she has 24 hours to decide :-)
