I went dress shopping yesterday and have a big decision to make.. I am in love with two dresses.. they are only like $30 different in price, so that doesn't even help me to decide!!! I went dress shopping yesterday and have a big decision to make.. I am in love with two dresses.. they are only like $30 different in price, so that doesn't even help me to decide!!!

The first dress is an Allure gown, all beautiful lace.. a "modified" a-line/fit and flare shape. I am not exactly "thin" so I was really surprised that I liked how this looks on me.. I didn't think I would like anything remotely fitted, but I love this and it's classic and beautiful and everything I knew I wanted.. I think FH would love that it is more fitted and "shows" off my curves".. but I'm a little self conscious about my body and wonder if I'm going to feel like I need to "suck it in" for every picture and not eat dinner lol.. or that it may not be very comfortable to sit down/dance in, since I've never worn something fitted like that, though I know women do it all the time Smiley smile (I know, I should have tried dancing/sitting.. but the thought never crossed my mind while I had it on)

Wow! Thanks for the votes ladies! Smiley smile Unfortunately, I think my gut is still leaning toward #1.. which is making this decision a lot more difficult (everyone, not just you lovely ladies is saying they like #2 better or that #2 looks better on me).. Hmm..

I am definitely planning on trying them both on again this week to move around, dance, sit down, walk around, etc to see how I feel in them and making a decision before next week, since I'm cutting it pretty close to get a dress ordered..

Try them on again ... and then trust your gut. You look beautiful in them both. If you love the look of # 1 but are a bit insecure, try it with a different undergarment/support and maybe even a fit/flare slip. Was a bit hesitant with my mermaid fit until I tried it with a slip and spanx and all doubts went away

I'm not a big fan of strapless gowns, but of the two the 2nd one is infinitely more flattering on your figure and it's a much prettier gown.

    Good luck and much happiness!

Thanks for all of the compliments ladies.. And Marilyn, I wasn't opposed to straps on my dress.. I tried on many with straps, but I'm pretty short and they all looked ridiculous on me for some reason..

My preference is gown 2. I think it REALLY accentuates your curves and is very flattering around the waist and bust areas. It also seems like you would be more comfortable in dress 2, which will make a HUGE difference. You'll be a lot more beautiful and pleasing to your man when you're confident and feeling awesome Smiley smile

When I first opened this post and saw the first dress, i thought wow that is really pretty.

But then I scrolled to your comments and saw dress #2. Wow. I love dress #2. It's gorgeous on you. Even though it's a weird picture and you can't really see the whole dress, I still thinks it lovely.

That said, this is YOUR dress and it needs to make you feel like a beautiful bride!

You may want to go try on more dresses. When I first started, I had it down to two dresses I just loved and I couldn't decide. I ended up going to a different store and trying on more dresses. I found THE ONE. There was no comparison. It was just the one dress.

Both are beautiful, you can't go wrong. Just give it a couple of days, go try them both back on and you'll be able to make a decision!
