The worst wedding ever!

So my cousin got married this past Saturday. My family and I were invited so we went. It was an outdoor wedding and everything was beautiful. Until the reception. No cocktail hour no nothing. She had a tent set up and the tables were decorated beautifully. Well after the ceremony we all (60 of us) gathered in the tent where there was a sign that read "sit wherever you like." Thank goodness we got a table with people we knew. Well the food was salad and bread. That's it. Well I was thinking it was just an appetizer but no. That was it. There was no bar or anything just a lemonade stand! Well after the "food was done." That was it. No DJ, no dance floor no music..nothing. The bride and groom thanked everyone. Grabbed the card box and left. Also found out from my uncle that the grooms best man was a guy he met on Craigslist because he had no one else. Worst wedding ever!!! Let's here your stories?

    Well we aren't having a cocktail hour so idk about that one but everything else sucks. What was the point? Just to get gifts. It doesn't even sound like they tried to have fun.

    Oh dang! Salad and bread?? Lemonade stand?

    But of course everything was decorated beautifully. I am sure in bride and groom's mind, it was a perfect wedding :/

    I had to go to a wedding last Summer that was in the backyard of someone's double wide-on-property. It started pouring, so everyone ran for the tent to hide, then the chairs were soaking wet. The guests were wandering around in marijuana t shirts (nothing wrong with it but for a wedding???)

    Then, ceremony finally happens and bride just yells "GRAB A CHAIR AND GO OVER THERE" to the guests. No music, no DJ, Groom disappeared after ceremony, never saw him again. Hahaha so WEIRD!!! It was a potluck, but all the guests were so confused because there was no formal introduction of the couple or anything.

    Their divorce was final early October of this year.

    I'm wondering if being a craigslist bridesmaid might be a good/bad idea, you always hear about brides just wanting a team of "glitter covered slaves", but I think I could put up with it if the price was right lmao. Shit, throw a decent bonus on there and I'll even come up with a generic, sappy speech for them. Only stipulation, the couple has to pay for my drinks from their cash bar. Cos you know they would have one....

    Salad, bread, and lemonade?! WTF?? I thought my sister's potluck wedding was bad, but one of the guests came through with a roast pig. FH tells me it was the best wedding food he's ever had.
