Postponing the wedding

I hate when I miss things. Someone catch me up. Lol but if you're date is very far cancel it. If you have a bunch if out of town guests I would go ahead and have it. I'm not sure.

I was about to go to bed but this might be worth hanging around for.

Mary it's not rude at all. In fact you should host a self catered or potluck shower each month until your wedding. Then you will receive multiple gifts from everyone. Maybe even ask for money at each and that can be used to fund your wedding.

I would cancel it if a date has not been set and a deposit put down on a venue.

I would be very upset if I asked the bride at her shower when her wedding date was and where she's having it and got a, "not sure yet. We postponed but we'll let you know. Thanks so much for coming to my shower though!"

I would rather be inconvenienced with cancelling travel arrangements.

Lol. ETA but in all seriousness, I wouldn't want to attend a shower for a wedding that's been postponed, super awkward for conversation and for gifts. I'd rather be inconvenienced and have my weekend than feel obligated to show up to an awkward shower.
