Postponing the wedding

So, y'all have heard already I'm postponing the wedding for a while but I do have a question. Is it rude to go ahead and have the shower that is scheduled for Saturday? Both of us have people coming in from out of town/ out of state for it. What should I do?

OH Mary, I am happy you are postponing. What made you call everyone and tell them they aren't invited anymore. You now have over a year to save and host your guests? What was the reasoning for cutting people that were already told they were invited.

@Kathryn the venue changed to a smaller venue that couldn't host as many on our guest list. I figured it was just best to be honest with them.

I just read this whole thing, and even though I'm mostly confused, it still was totally worth it! Just make sure ASR's FH doesn't get too cray at the bach party...no private parties!

@Jo I meant expecting. I didn't mean it to come out the way it did. I didnt mean pretense at all but it was late and that was the word I could think of.

@catbones I'm not trying to trap them. We have a possum and raccoon problem where I live. We're trying to relocate rhem if the dogs get in there I'm calling animal control.
