How much does wedding photography cost on average?

$2500 included 2 photographers, flash drive with edited images, leather bound album, engagement pictures, and 8 hours of coverage

Our photographer was 1,150 but we asked to cut a few things out for a cheaper rate and she brought it down to 1,000 for 6 hours and cut down for 8 hours it would've been 1,450 but she would take that down to 1,200 Plus it still comes with a second shooter and a flash drive with all the pictures. $50 to add photo album.

We have one shooter 4 hours, $750. We are in Westchester, NY. We found our photographer on Thumbtack. He's great!

In my area, (NJ/NY) 3500 and up. I'd be honestly scared about a 750.00 photographer in NYC in prime season. Sorry.

Talent costs. You're not buying hours, albums, shooters. You are, in part, buying talent.

We are paying $3200. We have two photographers for ten hours for the wedding, an engagement session, a wedding album, an engagement album, a large metal print of the photos, 5edits, 500 miles of travel, and more. We found that even though this was a little more then others we got sooooo much more her then the ones costing $2500.

We live in southern Pennsylvania

The cheapest we could find in our area for 4 hours was $3,500. We went with the engagement pictures + 9 hr., two photographer $5,600 wedding package. It still makes me nervous, but photography was our number one priority.

I am in South Florida too. Look up Scribbled Moments Photography. She is amazing and has several packages.

Upstate NY $4500, wasn't the cheapest but not the most expensive either. His photos are amazing.

I live in Louisiana and have budgeted $2000 for it. I haven't hired anyone yet so I'm hoping I can stay in my budget.

I'm in DC. Wedding photographers are a minimum of $2500 here. I'm splured on the photographer at $6000 for 9 hours (getting-ready photos at the hotel, wedding party pictures across town prior to the wedding, 5 hours of ceremony/reception with two shooters), USB with 2000 guaranteed pictures, and an online gallery with unlimited access. No engagement photos or albums. He's one of the best wedding photographers in the country.

ETA: I found a lot of good photographers in the $2000-$2500 range. We are PICKY about photographers because FH is a photographer. You can find cheaper ones that aren't that great in the $1000 range. Anything $3000 and up I really couldn't tell the difference, and neither could FH...perhaps had more to do with adding e-shoot, wedding albums, etc.

I'm in SFlo also. We are paying $2100 for 5 hrs (one shooter one light assistant). There are so many options and prices down here but I have seen my photographer's work in my two cousins weddings so I knew I wanted him on mine.
