I am in the beginning stages of looking for my photographer. How much did you budget? What is the average cost? Our wedding will be in South Florida. I am hoping for a second shooter, but don't need engagement session, boudoir, or videography. Hoping that will cut down the cost. TIA

You should do the engagement session. A lot of wedding togs offer this because they want to get to know you before your big day. This is your test run with them before you spend 6-12 hours with them in your face documenting one of the most important days of your life.

Also, I'm real proud of everyone in here who's not cheaping out on their wedding photography! High five to y'all. After the food is consumed and the music is turned off, those photos will be all you have left.

I got married in South Florida. We used Tina with Sara Kauss Photography. She was 450 an hour. I could not say enough good things about my pictures. She was amazing. Mine is about $1500 but that doesn't include any prints or anything. I also booked through a business that does DJ services and other things, so they give discounts for booking multiple services

Westchester NY, but our photographer is from Brooklyn - $4500 all day for two shooters, with Engagement photos, album, multiple canvas prints, STD's, Thank You Cards and prints of all photos from wedding on archival photo paper.

$750? For a wedding photographer in Westchester County, NY? As far as professional rates are concerned, that's beyond budget friendly -- it's unheard of.
