Need new wedding plans

Jackie, on May 27, 2020 at 8:50 PM Posted in Planning 0 3
I live in NJ. My wedding is in NC. It will be a microwedding with less then 25 guest. Postponed til April 2021.
Can anyone give me ideas on how to have my wedding timeline and some planning? My reception will be at a resort with venue and lodging onsite.
My ceremony with be at a lookout on a mountain side. Some things I needs to consider/ think about:-Having a welcome dinner for those who arrive the night before? (There’s hotel rooms but also a lodge that has a kitchen and a big “activity “ room for a rehearsal dinner or just a small welcome meal.-Sleeping separately the night before from spouse? Or going separate ways after waking up the day after?-Maybe a massage the day before to relax and pamper?•My timeline for the day of:-How should I prepare for my ceremony (hair (I don’t wear make up anymore)-Hire a photographer Pictures of details and before the ceremony? (My elopement company only does the ceremony)-Have the 2nd photographer stay for ceremony or just go to the reception for pictures?- How are my guest getting from the venue/lodging to the ceremony and back to the venue for reception? Should they drive there, car pull? Rent a bus?-Should I have a DJ ? Or play a playlist? -Fun ideas for the reception?

Lol PLANNING IS OVERWHELMING

Your venue may have a large van/bus and be willing the play chauffer, I would ask them.

You are not required to have a welcome dinner, but you could always plan on doing something the evening before and invite guests to join if they'd like.
I think you'll want "getting ready" and reception pictures, so definitely have a photographer there for the before and after the ceremony.
I went with a DJ, very inexpensive competitively speaking. I also asked guests to list a song they'd like to hear on the rsvp cards 😉
Hair...up or down? Pinterest was my best friend for ideas. I went ahead and hired someone, ut if you have a friend or relative already attending who is good at that sort of thing, maybe they'd like to help you? I'm going for something like this with a comb in it (no veil):Need new wedding plans 1
If you have time for a massage, go for it. A little relax time is a good thing.
As for accommodations...I'm making FH leave our hotel room the morning of so I can meet with the stylist, then we're all getting ready at the venue.
    Good luck, hun!!

It's ok Jacqueline! Take a deep breath - you've got plenty of time!

Have you kept any of your original wedding vendors? If there are still vendors you need to hire - like a photographer, DJ, hair stylist, and potential transportation - I'd focus on those things first! You don't need to work on your morning-of timeline and decide where to sleep the night before for a long time! (Although there was a recent discussion you can check out here: Stay away from future spouse night before the day?)
