I love children. I ADORE CHILDREN.

But if you have children that you do not discipline, DON'T BRING THEM AROUND ME!!

FH and I are having a relatively child free wedding (no children outside of the wedding party)

Its a night wedding. Its formal. Find a babysitter. Have a drink. Get a hotel room and practice making the next baby!!

Our wedding is not YOUR family reunion. Nor should I be responsible for stopping your child from knocking over the cake.

I went to a wedding and saw a child lift up the brides dress and try to play hide and seek under it during the first dance!!

BTW this is not directed toward WW Brides who have children. I'm sure your babies are well behaved. FH has a cousin who does not discipline her children and even if it is clear they are not invited, would show up and throw them on the mercy of other people while she gets drunk.

That's not the first time I've seen stuff like that. I saw a kid tell her mom "DON'T BLAME ME FOR YOUR MISERABLE LIFE!" She couldn't have been more that 6!!! I wouldn't have teeth if I spoke to my mother like that back then.

My son was like 10 and talked back to me for the first and last time in his little life I handed him my phone and the phone book

he got all smart assed and ask what it was for

I told him to call family services, 911, and his dad cause I was about to beat his ass

he busted out crying and has never done it since lol I didn't even touch him

I am one scary ass mom cause my mom taught me how to be one lol

now my sister hell no lets just say that her kids have come and stayed with me for one summer each so that I could teach them manners cause she can't

she is a shitty mom yep I said it and I have no regrets

LOL some moms are just those types of moms...if everyone had that abiliity then there would be a lot more well-behaved children around nowadays... i'm not even a mom yet but i command more respect from FH's younger cousins than their mom does at times...the key is consistency!!!

The laundry and dishes fairy needs to get her ass to my house- they sure as hell aren't doing themselves..

I am the EXACT same way. I had this friend whose kids would roll their eyes and talk back to her and crap, and I kept my mouth shut... but then when they came to visit me and pulled that crap, I said "All of you get in here RIGHT NOW. Let me be crystal clear on this. Any of you rolls your eyes, talks back, or disrespects your mother, you will spend the rest of the weekend in the car until your mom is ready to go home. I don't give a rat's ass who you are, NOBODY disrespects their mother in my house." One of them started to get snippy with me and I cut her off, saying "and you do NOT disrespect ME either. The reason you will spend the weekend in the car is because I am not legally allowed to smack you upside your head."

My mama taught all of us respect, and my daddy followed through. I got smacked by my mama for back talking. My brother sassed my mother all of one time, and made the mistake of doing it in front of my dad. He didn't even see it coming, til he was on the floor bleeding. My dad punched him square in the mouth. That is why he only did it once.

Anybody get beat with their mama's chancla? I did...

LOL I got the belt, the brush, the flyswatter (I sh*t you not), whichever was closest.

I used to make money off my big bro. We would get a copy of our report cards on a Friday and another copy would be mailed home the same day. So he would pay me $20 to NOT show mine to our parents, so that he could enjoy the weekend before they got the mailed copies and grounded him LOL

LOl i'll never forget this one time...my brother just lacked interest in school, and it came to a head in high school. one winter he came home with the worst report card he'd ever had. she got the belt on him and then locked him outside with nothing but the clothes on his back and told him he was going to be just as homeless and pitiful if he didn't bring up his damn grades. guess what happened by the time the next time report cards came around

@Angie LMAO!! Once I took money off my parents' friends' table to get ice cream because my parents had no cash. When they found out, they took everything out of my room except my bed and locked me in there for 3 days, giving me only bread and water 3x a day, telling me "this is what happens when you steal. You go to jail and this is what it's like, except in jail they beat you up too."

@Lady, chanclas, chancletas, whatever was handy. And man, those chanclas were like freaking homing devices. You got around the corner and thought you were safe until BAM! they smacked you in the back of the head! Those things followed you!

Hahahaha MissB I hated picking out my own switch! We thought we were sneaky and picked out a little one, which of course made our parents go pick for us, and theirs was always way worse..... picking out your own switch is like walking a tightrope.

I remember one time when my bro was young, he got sent to his room to wait for my dad. My dad leaned him over the bed and spanked him with his belt, but it sounded...off. So he did it again. Then he pulled up my brother's shirt and saw a hardback Dr Seuss book stuffed down his pants! My dad laughed his @$$ off at that, and my bro got out of the spanking.
