What's your vote on parent dances? Keep or cancel?

Keep! But my Dad and I are not doing the slow dance. We both want to skip the emotional slow dancing part and do something fun and entertaining for the gusts. For the mother son dance that is up to my FH and mother in law on what they want to do.

I want to cancel, but it is because my father has passed. I could dance with my step-dad, but I just don't want to. My FMIL though would never hear of her not getting her dance so I am keeping the mother/son one

Keep 100%. My fiancé will be dancing with his mom. I will probably dance with my grandpa or uncles as my dad passed away a few years ago.

Keep but my father daughter dance will be really fun instead of the traditional slow dance.

We are doing parent dances, but I think I’d be okay with cancelling them if we were short on time. I know my dad is looking forward to it!

My father recently passed away, so I won’t be doing mine. My FH will still be doing his with his mother.

We are keeping them but I can't get my dad to pick a song I actually like! Smiley atonished It's not important to everyone though! (not really to us either but our parents were all for it)

Keep! I still need a father/daughter song though! Our families are very traditional so our wedding just wouldn’t be the same without the parent dances!

Keep. My dad wasn't at my first wedding. I'm definitely dancing with him at this one. If anyone has any song suggestions I'd appreciate them.

We are keeping this tradition, but we are doing the mother / son and mother / daughter dance at the same time. Two mom's one stone.

Cancel. For me, it just doesn't fit into the schedule and we both have divorced parents. It just sounds like a nightmare to schedule in.

Keeping. I like the break it creates between food and events happening and it’s a nice tribute to family.

Keep! The wedding is so much more than the bride and groom. It is about change and family. These spotlight dances are important for recognizes these dynamic changes.

Cancelled. My dad passed away not too long before my wedding. I didn't want to dance with anyone else and my husband choose not to dance with his mother. But if my dad was still there I would have definitely kept

I'm cancelling it, number one - both of our families don't dance. Number two - we would rather go straight to the celebration.
