I always thought (yeah, tacky, I know) that if people invite me for their weddings, they actually want me to be there. But now I understand people do not expect all of their guests to show up, which is also tacky. We currently have 2 tacky invitations for 2 weddings this summer. I’m wondering if we...

I always thought (yeah, tacky, I know) that if people invite me for their weddings, they actually want me to be there. But now I understand people do not expect all of their guests to show up, which is also tacky.

We currently have 2 tacky invitations for 2 weddings this summer. I’m wondering if we are among those tacky guests who should decline but to the couple’s tacky surprise, we accept? Before you say anything negative, I understand it’s tacky we haven’t RSVPed before we received the invitations.

Is it tacky if I call the couples and ask them if that really want us to show up? Or should we decline and just send them a tacky gift?

Please help, but don’t comment if you’re going to say something tacky. Thanks!

    There are so many people I would like to thank.... to do so I think I will need some vistaprint invitations to invite you all to my after party. Where I will be handing out favors printed by vistaprint.... things like hats, keychains, stress balls, beer koozies.....

    I stopped paying attention to the thread forever ago but came back to see what was so awesome.

    I saw Hayley's LSD picture on the last page and I just died laughing (I thought that's why she was getting the award from Mrs. S and then realized that had nothing to do with it... but it made my day...)

    If you have to ask "is this tacky"..... But.. Anyway.. My rule of thumb, nothing is tacky I'd you're already invited to a tacky wedding! Wear white!
