Is it strange not to have a theme?

My wedding will be across the street from the beach, at a beautiful hotel. While I will have a couple beachy-ish things, I do not really have a theme. My colors are bright, pink, blue, and green... (for now) and it will have a tropical feel, but I will not have seashells or really any theme. there will be wine bottles in a bucket with sand for the table numbers, flowers for the centerpieces...

Anyone else not having a theme?

We're not having a theme. We have 4 colors. Olive green, very dark deep blue, light yellow & white. We're keeping the 'flow' of things by matching the save the date cards to the thank you cards. Our menu card, escort cards & place card will match and we're using the same colors that we did for our invitations.

We have colors, no theme other then formal and blue! haha

We too are going to be on a resort on the beach, but thats because we live here so its much easier to plan here. If I had my way we would be in the mountains or forest somewhere Smiley tongue But thats just not practical.

Also FH for some reason was very against having a theme... We love horses so there might be a touch of a horse design somewhere, but we arent going crazy with it Smiley smile

We have 3 colors, but no theme. Just making sure everything flows together and looks nice.

No...my theme is really the colors we're having Smiley smile I think if I had a 'theme' it would be too much.

We didn't have a theme. I think you are just fine. Only thing that I found developing a pattern of it's own is Callly Lillies. My aunt put them in my flowers so we carried it over to the cake, then I found Cally Lilly bookmarks...so hey...it just kinda happend. But I don't really consider that a theme.

I don't have a theme either, but I completely understand how you feel. Sometimes I think having a theme would make it easier, specially because I really want table themes instead of numbers but I feel anything I pick would be just random and not tie into anything else in the reception. :/

I wouldn't call that a theme Maria. That's just making everything flow together.

I'm using roses for my bouquet and most likely for my centerpieces and it carried over to the flowers on the cake too. I think it would be kinda weird if I used red and white roses for bouquets and centerpieces then all of a sudden had brightly colored daisies (or any other flower) just on my cake lol. Just doesn't flow with the other stuff.

We're not doing a theme either, just colors...burnt orange, chocolate, ivory and gold. We're using mainly roses as the flowers i'm not sure if that would be considered theme-ish.

Gosh, I hope not, lol. For our DW, basically the venue is the theme. For our post-DW celebration with family...well, the guest book and the favors are travel-themed, and the rest is fall-themed. Quite a mishmash, but it's a mishmash of things we love and that represent us.

No theme for us...just colors. We are doing a couple things that are personal to us (dolphins and callas) but I wouldn't consider it a theme.

We don't have a theme either. Smiley smile Our colors are black, white, and malibu - so they will be incorporated into our decor.

FH and I are big wine drinkers, so instead of toasting flutes we have personalized wine glasses. Our guestbook will be wine bottles our guests sign, and then we can drink them on our various anniversaries. We're just trying to add personal touches here and there to make it more special...

The fhs vest will have a paisley print design to it, so i'm going to try and have my invites and other stationary reflect that (maybe even the cake), but we aren't doing a theme eitherSmiley smile
