Whoops just read the comments and see the OP asked about beer and wine. That's what we are doing as well! Cheap and easy, bought the plastic glasses from Amazon as well if you need a bunch for cheap.

There is nothing wrong with have beer/wine only, but don't use "guests going overboard because it's free" as an excuse to charge people for liquor. Either have only beer and wine, or provide a full open bar. Don't make your guests pay for ANYTHING.

But the last few weddings I've been to have had cash bars with an open cocktail hour. I didn't complain nor did anyone else there. So take these comments with a grain of salt.
