Bye FAllysha. Sorry I couldn't help myself. People on here are just trying to help others who come here to ASK us for advice. So we give it to them. We are brutally honest here because we don't want anyone to be embarrassed or look tacky at their wedding. People ask for advice, we give it, then they get mad at us. It happens literally every single day. People need to properly host their guests. End of story.

When people say they're doing "beer and wine" does it mean as opposed to beer, wine, and mixed drinks? Is the only difference between an open bar option and a "beer and wine" option the fact that they aren't serving cocktails and stuff? Honest question, cause I've seen multiple people opt for that instead, I just never fully understood.

Yes, Kacie, and if people would listen instead of going off half cocked and calling us bullies then things would be understood a lot more quickly. I'm looking at you when I say that.

I swear everyone on here acts like little kids, like they're in some clique or something. Luckily, you won't have to worry about anyone on here attending and "leaving your wedding early". The ones who truly care about you will not throw fits and leave because there isn't free alcohol, it should be about seeing their loved ones get married. I'm not saying it shouldn't be nice, but you can cut down on things like bars in order to make sure everyone you care about is there because it's really about the wedding, not the alcohol. And not having an open bar doesn't make you a bad host, that's only one of many parts of a reception.
