SHOW AND TELL!

SHOW your invites, RSVP's, escort cards, errrrrrthang!

TELL me about your style and why you chose it. Was it the color scheme? The theme of your wedding? What kind of look/feel were you looking for?

I made all of mine. I wanted everything to be VERY simple and beachy. I didn't find anything online that I could relate to, and if I did, it was WAY out of my budget. SO here are mine...

The first 2 pics are of the front and back of my invites, no folds, just one simple 5x7 postcard style invite.

The next pic is of the front and back of the invite, the envelope, RSVP, RSVP envelope, and the menu card. Smiley smile

And these are my place cards. Again, I wanted something simple and elegant, that tied in with my theme. Laudie helped me with this part. I chose three colors for the cards. The sandy colored ones were for the guests who chose chicken for their meal, the blue ones were for beef choices, and the white ones were for vegetarians. Smiley smile

Our invites are similar to these and then Iʻm hand-writing welcome cards for everyone

I'll be shamelessly bumping this thread for the next few days. I'd love to see your designs and what you were going for.

Thanks, Iʻm so proud to say that FH actually designed our invitations. He picked out the colors, the style, the pattern, and the script.

Here is everything. I am making color-coordinated place/escort cards in garnet, black, or white depending on menu choice.

These are ours. We liked the fantasy looking branches and loved the color. I especially loved the colored backs.

Ok, y'all ready for lots of pictures?

    First picture...

    1. my flower girl

    2. Some frames that I made to display with some info.

    3. These vases will line the aisle. We are having a night wedding so the candlelight will be beautiful. I have twenty four of these and twenty four of a different style

    More!

    1. I painted two canvases and put pics of Jesse and me and our family from throughout our time together. I will display this probably at the bar or something.

    2. I stained and glossed this M. It will serve as our "guest book"

    3. Finally a picture of our favors!!!!

Here's our invitations with the invitation itself and the inner envelope. I wanted a gray invitation because I felt it was more elegant than coral. Then I had the inner envelope lined in coral. The outer envelope was just plain white.

Also in this picture is the corresponding response card.

Second picture is the card box I made. It has the tissue paper pom that I made ... and I will be making a ton of those to go on the dinner tables.

So there ya go. That's pretty much a bunch of the little details that I wanted to have. I really just wanted to have a wedding that was simple and fun, but showed our personalities and love for each other. I think I captured that.

Mrs. Drakthal, my cousin is getting married and wants a twilight wedding theme. Your colors aren't too far off from what she's looking for and I love how simply done your invitations are. I'd like to design something similar to this, for her.

    Love everything, Tatiana Smiley smile

Ashley - I LOVE LOVE LOVE the colors on your invite. I also used Wedding Paper Divas, was super happy with them.

For all of our things, we had kind of a fall theme. Our Save the Date and Thank You were both oversized postcards. (The TY card had a b&w pic on the back and the other 3/4 to write our message on) The Save the Date was taken in our fall engagement shoot, and that sign is actually how he proposed to me. Our invites are very obviously fall. The flags had a purpose too, as it was Veterans Day weekend and that detail also came into play in our wedding.

Now I have to figure out what to do with all the extras of everything. I want to make an ornament for next year to put on the tree. I did that already with my bouquet, but heard about the paper one and thought that was a great idea as well.

Still in progress here, but am designing all of my own. Much of the darker gold will be embossed.

Very nice, everyone. I want to know about your theme, or color scheme. Tell me about the feel that you were going for, with your invitations!!!
