Hi all!
What is your favorite wedding DIY that you've done so far (or plan to do)?

I made this garland thing to hang on our ceremony spot! It's 8ft long and 14"-15" inches wide and took me forever to finish!

Hubby-to-be made the chalkboard sign sitting below it for our welcome sign and I'm super excited to make that!

Thanks! I just spent 4 days redoing all the flowers but I think I'm happy with it now 😂

And it feels like we're DIYing everything! FH built 26 benches and is in the process of building tables (5 total) and hopefully a set of cornhole boards. I'm doing all the signage, dyed napkins and folded them into silverware bundles, made koozie favors, and am in the process of making the centerpieces and florals! I'm also hoping to DIY our ring box but that one might not happen!

Our goal was to DIY as little as possible. 😆 We did most of it with rentals and our florist. My favorite DIY was our save the date card, featuring a picture taken by my husband.

Might sound a bit nuts but it's bustling my own gown, which is a lot of problem solving and repeatedly slipping the skirt on and off (because I can't afford a mannequin to work off).

Still finishing it, so no pics yet!

That sounds like a very time consuming process, but it will definitely be worth it!

Hey! My favorite thing has been making candles. My mom and I are making cinnamon bun scented candles for my favors. They are little candles - we used her cricket to print a bunch of little "F"s for my future last name and put them on all the glasses as well.

    It turned out AMAZING, actually!

The ceremony is outdoors and so for sanity's sake I put in a double French bustle (see pic) and will leave it in. For mobility/dinner later, there are hem loops on each side that pull up to the darts on the underside at the bottoms of my pockets to create a ballroom bustle, PLUS an American over bustle point hidden on the back seam that lifts over the Frenchies.

I showed my mom the points and she was impressed. It's the kind of creative problem solving I LOVE! Maybe I should start freelancing after my wedding cause I could get used to this lol
