Do you have any diy floral projects for your wedding?

Mazie, on August 7, 2024 at 3:14 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 12

Recently i fall in love withe these bright yellow color. I'm thinking about practicing making some corsage or boutonniere , or some basket flowers for the flower girl to carry. They're foam flowers and don't have a any unwholesome smell. (I'm someone who's pretty sensitive to smell). These foam flowers are super hands on, I was able to bend them as needed to get the right length. I could have cut them with wire cutters as well. Worked great for what I needed it for.

What about yours? Could you guys show me some of your DIY projects?

I've used Sola Flowers before, Michaels brand, Hobby Lobby brand, and Ling's Moments (I'm a floral designer), But I'm looking to do the craft-store style with more bulk than I can do with the craft stores! Any suggestions from anyone who has used websites? I saw afloral.com on one other forum.

    TIA!

Love the color! Hopefully you'll come back and share what you end up making!

I'm DIYing all of our flowers! So far I've done our "arch" piece that we're repurposing over our guestbook/card table and I've got a good start on my bouquet (but still have a few tweaks to make). I still have to do flowers for a couple signs, a boutonniere for FH, and bud vases for part of our centerpieces.

If you want to see more bulk to diy , you can go check out Tinge Time artificial flowers on amazon. They really do provide a whole new variety of diy flower bulk to choose from. I got my yellow foam flower from them too and is surprisingly cost efficient. Also, their manager sent me some wedding arch flowers/ garland to see how it works! So just go check them out!

Mostly! FH built me the stand to use and helped me hang it up one I had the greenery strung together, but otherwise many hours of me just wiring things together haha

I mostly got the flowers from DexinFloral on Etsy (most roses), Blanc Box (peonies, rose buds), anemones (Afloral and Silks are Forever), thistles from G and G Distributors. I tried to stick with real touch stuff because I prefer how they look.

The eucalyptus garlands for the arch piece were from blanc box and jamali garden. I filled it in with individual stems I got from blanc box, luv sola flowers, and I think etsy and some other random places. I found the same real touch eucalyptus all over. The string of pearls were from Amazon

The eucalyptus for my bouquet were from Spruce Mountain Ranch, but they were taken off the site last time I looked. The longer accent stems were from Magnolia

I'm using living greens from my garden (and the neighbors) as garlands on buffet tables and as backdrop: star jasmine, pink breath of heaven, magnolia, and fern pine, plus fake & real flowers.

I did custom pieces for our attendees (off which there weren’t many). My mom got a fascinator that had a charm of my dad added to it. My MOH got a hair comb and my MIL got a wrist corsage (not pictured). They were pretty fun to make and I found most of the supplies readily available on Amazon to do from scratch ❤️
