I like 1 and 3

I'm from the south, and I totally get it Futureafu. A lot of women don't want FH to see them in their dress before the wedding, including the bridals. But I can see having one of the E-pics in addition to the big bridal pic. I like #3.

Well, I can tell you I am born and raised in NC. Can't tell you where it started but that comment was JUST a bit rude...i don't have it mixed up with my 16th birthday!!!!

futureafu i did not mean to come across rude,I have been to many sourthern weddings and never saw that,I come from a long line of true southern women.

I do know for the bridal shower your pic is displayed.

Futureafu I think its a cute idea but if your still thinking on something to do you can do one photo of you in your dress and one of him in his tux and use both of them Also who cares where the tradition started to those that are wondering..its something she saw somewhere that has already been done and liked the idea there is no reason to put her down for it.

Im not saying everyone is Im just adding its no reason to jump on her for it.

Ok...I am astonished at the comments, and especially disappointed in the rude ones. Come ON people, aren't we here to be supportive of each other? Sorry, some of these comments really pissed me off...why would you try to make someone feel bad?

Phew ok, now that I've gotten that off my chest....futureafu, girl you are GORGEOUS. If this is something you've seen before, and more importantly, if this is something you want to do, PLEASE DO IT!! Especially now that you have all these beautiful pictures. Don't let a few grouchy people around here sway you. All the pictures are great...could you talk to your photographer to see if there is a way to lighten #2? That's my favorite, but I also like 1 and 3...4 is pretty, but I don't like it as much because you're not smiling.

I like number three, you can really see your face! I also LOVE black and white photo's.. could you do number three in black and white?

I agree with Rosie. Have I ever heard of that tradition no, however I am not going to bash your idea. If this is something that you want to do and is popular in your area, then please do it. Don't let strangers from all different parts of the country sway your decision.

As far as my favorites, I like 2 and 3. I think like some of the girls said, 2 would look really nice if it was lightened.

I love number one. But we are taking bridal pictures and one will be blown up. But out centerpieces will be different photos from the engagement session. I think that bridal portraits are a southern tradition.

I think you should still do it. I think it is a Southern thing, if you WANT to do it then do it! Maybe I'm biased being a Southerner, but it's not going to look tacky. My sis had on a table one of their engagements and then one of her bridal.

To add something else.. every wedding that I have attended there was a bridal portrait.

I dont think the rude comments are necessary, she asked us to vote on a picture- not question whether what she was doing was acceptable.

@Bella - I think you're getting a little rude. Just because it doesn't happen in YOUR neck of the south doesn't mean it isn't a southern tradition. I am from the south - and I also come from long line of southern belles. Guess what, I've seen bridal pics at EVERY southern wedding I've ever been to. I find it strange that you've never seen it.

I dunno if you're still doing it, but my vote is #3!
