Wedding details
The Brides names is Brittany and the Groom's names is Nhe (pronounced like knee)... get it? Brit-Nhe LOL one of the coolest or cheesiest things about us. We met on June, 6, 2002... My's last day of my sophmore year of high school and Nhe's graduation day from high school. We were both recently single and two of our friends had been trying to set us up since the day I became single. Nhe went with his friend to the high school to pick up his friends girlfriend who was also my friend. I was standing in the driveway of the high school in a baby pink spaghetti strap, blue jeans, and flip flops and hugging my friend goodbye when I heard my friends say "Hey Nhe." I turned around to face Nhe who was in a white shirt with a yellow strip, white pants, and tan boots and we were introduced. After a quick "Hi", I bolted. Later that day my friend came over to borrow a shirt and convinced me to go to the graduation despite not knowing anyone who was graduatng. Nhe and I later heard that we had both asked about each other to our friends. I went to the graduation only to find that it was Nhe's graduation I was attending! To Nhe's suprise I was sitting in the stadium with his family watching him walk and receive his diploma. After the graduation we were one again face to face, both shy and not knowing what to say to the other. I had to be home early so Nhe walked with me and my friend back to my friend's boyfriends car. Nhe gave me a bouquet of flowers before we parted ways. From that moment on we found ourselves entagled in what has been described as a "movie magic" romance falling in head over hills in love. Make no mistake, it has not been easy for us. Meeting at 15 and 18 has it's disadvantages. My family HATED Nhe before even getting to know him because he was older. We spent most of the first 2 years of our relationship sneaking around. I was often grounded and had no phone privilages and Nhe was supposed to have an arraged marriage to a girl from vietnam who's family would pay his to have her become part of there. But love always finds a way. In time our family's realized that this was real and neither one of us was going anywhere and now we all love each other and are one big happy family. Crazy how things turn out. The Proposal Nhe proposed on 5-1-10 though we had already agreed to get married in February. In February, EVERYTHING wedding kept coming up and it seemed like everyone was talking to us about marriage so Nhe and I just decided it was time and we were going to do it. We started planning for the wedding, telling family, and I picked out my ring. I NEVER expected him to give me a "proposal story" becaues we were already engaged. 5-1-10 was the Saturday of the Mosley VS Mayweather fight and we had all of his family, my family, and a few friends over which isn't uncommon because whenever we have an excuse to have everyone over, we do; so I thought NOTHING of it. That day, I did get mad at FH but didn't say anything, I called my mom to see if she wanted to go shopping but she said she couldn't. I went with his brother and bough a rather expensive purse lol and we came back home. The FH was acting mad at me so knowing there was an hour before everyone was coming, I laid down to take a nap. My FSIL/BFF text me they were on there way wanting to see if I was home yet, I said yes but your brother is mad at me. She freaked out and then called him because everyone knew he was going to propose but me. She said yea he is mad at you lol but he really wasn't. So then I took my nap, people came over and I was showing my dress and talking wedding plans, then we ate after my FH bbqed. Before the fight started, I was sent to the store to get drinks with his sis my BFF. When we got back everything was yelling Brittany's back! I was thinking wow, we aren't really a big drinking family, guess everyone wants to drink tonight? lol. FSIL/BFF said she wanted a pic of the family. So my parents were going to take the pic. My dad didn't know how to use my camera so I had my back turned and was showing him how. When I turned around, I saw FH down on his knee's and was in shock, I was waiting for him to say somethign when his sis yelled out "Read our shirts!" Each of them had there own individual letter spelling out "WILL YOU MARRY ME?" FH was "ME" and our nefew was the "?" FH had a Ring Pop in the box as an inside joke between us and his nefew had my real ring in the same position as FH holding my ring out to me which I wasnt expecting to be in for another 3 weeks! Meanwhile everyone was taking pics of the whole thing. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect proposal!! I later learned, my mom had my dad call Nhe because she was worried that I was mad at him and my FSIL had called Nhe because she was worried he was mad at me and it was his brothers job to make sure we came back before everyone started to get to the house. When I was sent out for drink (which no one drank), it was so they could do a "practice proposal" lol because FH was so nervous it wasn't going to work out right! LOL I love them all
