I've read through EVERYONE's comments and I don't have anything to add. (:

    No. 3 gets my vote!

I like No. 2, too, because it shows your full dress, but it looks like it's too dark.

My favorite is No. 1!!!! Yes, there is a such thing as bridal portrait. I know someone who paid thousands of dollars to have one oil painted!!!! It's cool!

I'd say #1 or #3 if you still plan on doing it. If this is a tradition among your friends and family and you WANT to do it then go ahead. Rememeber that this forum is nation wide and not all the same wedding traditions are celebrated in all regions. So you might not get the same reaction from your group of guests that you got here. But I do want to applaud you for handling the heat like a lady. Kudos!

SO you are not alone, i also plan to do a bridal shoot and i will be displaying my fav photo at the reception. I will more than likely be placing the photo by the gift table. Just wanted to let you know that you are not the only one who is doing this.

Weeeeeell, if you decide to still do it after all of THIS, I'd say my vote is #4.

And I recently made a post about how if people don't agree with something, they shold take the time to read other poster's comments as well as the original poster's comments. It comes off as rude when so many people say the same thing, and can be very discouraging.

Do what you like. I don't think it looks out of place. There's no sense in wasting the money on the photographer to not flaunt your beautiful bridals. If people don't get it, screw em. It's your wedding, not theirs.
