How To Store Your Wedding Dress Until The Wedding?

Hey Ladies,

So I bought my dress already (I know my wedding is so far away), but I have it at my house. I bought a dress bag from David's Bridal but the zipper on the bag already broke. Any suggestions on a type of bag or something I could buy to keep it in? I don't want it to get ruined but I don't know what to store it in. Thanks in advance for the help!

    Take the bag back and get a new one. Then it should be fine in a closet. I stored mine at my grandmas, away from my dogs and Dh's prying eyes.

    When i bought my dress the girl told me to unzip my bag and let the dress hang out then take a white sheet and wrap it. but cant u get another bag from them? they will steam your dress like 2 weeks before your wedding anyway.

    Mine is in the closet but we have moved 3-4 times so I also have a u-hall wardrobe box for when I move it. I am most worried about the wrinkles.

    Mine's been hanging in the David's Bridal bag at my grandma's house for the past 3 years. Still looks good!

    I have mine in a box wrapped in a white sheet in the closet. Its been in there for about six months and it still looks great!

    I was told to hang it in a white sheet--so that it can breathe!

    The bridal salon where I bought it is holding it for me....better since we don't have a lot of room in our apartment. I'll probably pick it up a week before the wedding.

    I have mine in the DB bag - those are designed to let the dress "breathe" while keeping it free of dust. If the bag broke, ask DB to replace it.

    I'm a 2014 bride too. I had mine preserved by the dry cleaners.
