Hey everyone! How much is your wedding dress? Where did you find it? Trying to understand the average price women spend and where they found THE dress so I can know what is reasonable when I’m in the stores in a few weeks wish my mom☺️ Thanks so much for commenting!

I looked at dresses at both David's Bridal and a local boutique. They ranged for $400-$2200. I was okay spending up to 1,000, and I probably could have justified even a little higher if I really loved it. The dress I finally ended up with was just around 1000, but then I realized it was actually 50% off from the rack. That made me certain of my decision!
Definitely keep the price of alterations in mind though. They are usually several hundred dollars at least. My aunt is a seamstress and I took her with me, and she was able to provide some interesting insight on some of the dresses. Before I found my dress, I had two others in mind that I loved. One was much less expensive than the other. She estimated the the less expensive one would actually come out to be a few hundred dollars more than the more expensive one after alterations, due to the extensive detailing on the dress that would be difficult to work with.
I found a dress I loved for $2900 (before tax), but then I found one that I loved even more for $75 (before tax). They all vary, but I highly recommend looking through the sale racks. They may not be in style at the moment or have a slight manufacturing flaw that isn't noticeable but makes the price drop SIGNIFICANTLY. Another thing to be aware of is the shop itself adds to the price. If you go to a luxurious shop, the price will be up there, but if you go to a little "mom & pop" type shop you can usually find the same dress for much cheaper.
My dress was originally a little over $500, got it during the $100 off sale at David's Bridal. Ending up paying $430 with taxes. Have yet to get alterations.
Found my dress at a small shop in my neighborhood. Paid around 950 with alterations and veil.. So question.. be honest and blunt please.. am I too old to be wearing this style? This wedding is important to me and my partner, as we've waited so long for this special day..
I got my dress on sale because the store was going out of business. Originally it was 1240 but I got it for 240! And my alterations are only $197!

I found my dress at a local store- it was a sample priced at $885 (originally around $1600). However, they took an additional 20% off because some of the beading needs to be fixed. I paid $708...hopefully alterations won't cost too much. That is my next step.
I went to davids bridal on their $99 sale. But I saw a dress walking around waiting that ended up being the one, so I paid $500 even though I intended to find a $99 dress. I don't regret it, it's perfect!
We want to a flash sale Jackson bridal was having. And got mine for 220$ and it was originally 899$! I'd definitely try to find something like this to do!
I went to David’s Bridal to check out the $99 sale. I wanted to stay around $500 and ended up with a dress that was $549. It was actually the first dress I picked out (I can’t wait to ride my horse in this thing and play pretty princess!! 😂)
I’m going to need alterations, so I’m not sure what those will be yet.
