Hey everyone! How much is your wedding dress? Where did you find it? Trying to understand the average price women spend and where they found THE dress so I can know what is reasonable when I’m in the stores in a few weeks wish my mom☺️ Thanks so much for commenting!

I budgeted $500 for my dress, but the day of, my mom surprised me by insisting she pay for my dress (FI and I are paying for everything else). I planned to stay under $1500 but much to my slight shame and regret, ended up with a $2900 dress before alterations.
My mom said it's worth it because I'm wearing the dress twice and it's beautiful, but it sent me into a tailspin in the days after because seriously, dresses shouldn't be that much money! It's the most expensive thing out of our entire otherwise tiny wedding, but damn to look and feel good in that gown.
I found mine at a local boutique. I haven’t got my dress back from alterations so I don’t know how much that will be. (Shouldn’t be a lot, it didn’t need a lot of changes) I got mine for around $900.00 dollars, then $150.00 for the veil. My mom actually purchased the dress and veil for me, which was super sweet of her.
Mine is $1000. I was hoping not to go over $800, but I liked aspects of 2 different dresses. So what is going to happen is there going to make the 2 into one dress, which made it a little more expensive!
I paid $1712 for my dress, alterations I haven’t done yet. But my receipt states a flat fee of $150 for alterations. I want to add some sleeves so I don’t know how much I’ll spend. My budget is $2500 and I got it at a local boutique called Brides of Florida
I spent about $250. I didn't want to go over $400 just in case the alterations are very expensive. Fiancé and I are on a huge budget since we are paying the whole wedding ourselves and we don't want to spend too much on a wedding.
I fell in love with a dress online that unfortunately was well over my budget (I budgeted $1000 before alterations and the dress was well over $3000). Tried it on at the third store I went to and it fit almost perfectly, so I was able to buy off the rack. I got it for $1250 + $100 for shipping (purchased while visiting my parents, so not in the same state where my FH and I are getting married). I lucked out getting my dream dress pretty close to my budget. Purchased at Lovely.
I budgeted $2000 for mine and ended up spending $1500. I have not done alterations yet, and accessories were budgeted separately. I got mine from The Wedding Shoppe in St. Paul!
I spotted a beautiful Maggie Sweet on David’s website while I already had my heart set on another, but I discounted it because it was WAY over my budget at $1650. Throughout much drama which led me to ditching the first dress and starting over, I could not get that MS dress out of my head. I kept my eye on it, and watched the price drop to $699, then $399, yet was still exploring other options, mainly to please other people (although I was paying for it myself -go figure). Finally on a whim, I checked on it again online and saw that it was only available in stores...for $99! Miraculously a store only about an hour away from me had one in stock, and it happened to be my size! It’ll require some alterations that will add to the final cost, but my dream dress feels like a gift from the heavens. 😊
