Hey everyone! How much is your wedding dress? Where did you find it? Trying to understand the average price women spend and where they found THE dress so I can know what is reasonable when I’m in the stores in a few weeks wish my mom☺️ Thanks so much for commenting!

I said yes to the dress a week ago....definitely spent more than I wanted ($3900) but I couldn't see myself wearing anything else after I tried it on.

I went to Davids Bridal and the style of dresses they had didn't flatter me at all except one and it just didn't feel like THE DRESS (it was not so pretty to me too tbh) it was $1400. I went to a local brides store and they do hand made a lot of their dresses found the one and it was $1300 has so much more detail than the Davids Bridal dress and I felt so beautiful. I did go over budget though I didn't want to go over $1000 but can always make it a family heirloom.

My dress was $1800, and another 106 in tax. I went to a bridal boutique and it was a dress I found on Pinterest, and then I tried it on and knew it was the one. If it were more than $2000 I would have had to walk away. Still needs alterations though, which I am sure will push it up. It all depends on what is important to you. If I were shopping for a dress again (I probably wouldn't have spent what I spent. )

Mine was $5,500. I didn't think I would spend this much, but I couldn't find anything else like it! Still need to get it altered once it comes in!! But I cannot wait to see it.

I bought it for almost 2k at Anjolique Bridal in Charlotte. They have a really nice collection, all unique and different from David Bridal. The staffs were so friendly and patient.

I went to marchele's, which I highly suggest. The ladies there are absolutely amazing. I wouldn't have gotten a dress from anyone else.

My budget was $1500. My dress came to just about $1300. As of now, no alterations needed but with a less than year to go I'm sure something will come up!

I got mine at an off-the-rack designer boutique. I planned to spend around $500 but I found THE ONE and it was $899 so I splurged.

My dress is a Mori Lee by Madeline Gardner ball gown. It cost $1300 and it was a $1500 dress. The bridal boutique gave me a discount. I haven't gotten my alterations done yet.

I was hoping to spend around $1200 for the dress since to me I'd rather spend more money on a band, better food, etc. I went to BHLDN and David's Bridal and found a few I liked, but didn't love. Got to the point where I thought I'd just never be IN LOVE with my dress. Until I found it Smiley smile

Went to a local dress boutique and found this dress for $1500. The consultant added the blush belt with it and I also bought the veil there. With all of that before alterations, it was about $2000.

I totally appreciate when brides can find something they love at a lesser price. I would have loved that too. But I'm really ok with where I ended up with it. I look at a picture of it every day and cannot wait for it to arrive so I can put it on again.

My Morilee gown was $1200 and that was with a discount since we bought it off of a mannequin and there was a small run in one of the lower layers of tulle (doesn't affect how the dress looks). I also had $750 in alterations. I bought the dress from Bridal Elegance which is a dress outlet in the Midwest.

I got mine at a consignment bridal shop but it ended up being a new dress with the tag still on! It was $600. I had alterations for $125, a veil for $90 and shoes for $75.... overall everything for my attire was a bit under $1000.

I wanted a specific $6,000 Hayley Paige dress & ended up getting an $1,800 off the rack Hayley Paige so I was verrryyyy happy about that! The expensive one looked incredible on the hanger and on the models I saw but just wasn't right for my body. The only reason I was even willing to go that amount is because the retailer would buy it back for half to resell at their consignment shop.

I sew professionally and made my own dress and spent $450 on mostly antique fabric. It was my own labour but if I had paid myself was probably $3500 of work, including undergarments.

I had budgeted for under $300 and went to a local prom/bridal boutique that sells off-the-rack. Found my gown for $645 (originally $2,000) plus my veil at $150. My parents graciously bought for me, luckily. Definitely recommend only trying on dresses in your budget like others have said! I still have to get alterations as well.

This is so amazing! I found this thread searching for mira zwillinger. I just can't justify the cost but its so beautiful! Being in the fashion industry, do you know if anyone who would rent something out like this? I'm assuming its not common but I found a girl who rents her Grace Loves Lace dress so I thought it'd be worth a shot haha. and I know this is an old thread/post sorry :p
