Hey everyone! How much is your wedding dress? Where did you find it? Trying to understand the average price women spend and where they found THE dress so I can know what is reasonable when I’m in the stores in a few weeks wish my mom☺️ Thanks so much for commenting!

Min was $798, but SIL spent $5000 on hers! There are just plenty of other things I would like to spend 5k on, but it's about find the dress that makes you feel like the bride you want to be!!!!
David's Bridal $400! This is before alterations, and don't forget to budget for accessories and undergarments. I budgeted $1000 for my dress and should come in under that with all my extras, including shoes!
I had originally picked 2 dresses from DB online for me to try on at my appt. that were on sale. Once I got there the dresses were not available. So I told the girl that I did not want to spend over that. (This is a vow renewal for our 10th Anniversary so I just could not see spending thousands of dollars. My consultant Jasmine was the best. I am a very simple one but she convinced me to step out of my box. After trying on 6 dresses mind and heart kept going back to the 1st dress I tried on but she said it was $900. She asked me to try it on 1 more time and after she say the tears she told me it was on sale for $400 and I said yes to the dress.
I had done a ton of research on what styles and designers I liked prior to making an appointment. I definitely wanted to stay under $2,000, and was hoping to keep it around $1,600. I found that I really liked Stella York gowns, and that they were affordable. I made an appointment at a boutique that sold the line, and my dress came in at $1399 before alterations!
Bought mine from a little off the rack bridal shop in the area for $700. I also got a veil and belt and the whole total still ended up being under $1000. The dress's original retail price was around $1200.
I budgeted $2000 and mine was just under $1400 and with alterations (hem, adjusting the straps, cups, a 10 (!) point bustle) it’s about $1850
I spent a little over $1,000 at David’s Bridal. It was originally $1058 but was on sale for $933. A little bit of a discount lol but my original budget was $500 but when I went dress shopping with my mom she said she’ll give me an additional $500. Change the complete look of the dress I choose !! Very happy 😊
I bought my gown off eBay for $100, but spending $500 to alter it...I still feel like it’s a fantastic deal! It’s brand new with tags on, Alfred Angelo Disney Sleeping Beauty 218.
I live in VA and went to Blush Bridal Boutique. My Rebecca Ingram dress by itself is $719, but i added on a lace off the shoulder cover jacket, and that made the total to be $900+. I'm content because it's less than $1000. I don't understand how people can buy dresses over $3000, when they can be using that money towards something else in the wedding. Yes, it's your big day but you can look absolutely glamorous at nicer price.
I said I'd go up to $2000 and when the time came I felt really uncomfortable spending that much. My dress came in at $700 before alterations. I bought it from a salon that sells only sample dresses so there's pretty much one of each dress. It worked really well for me because the ticket price was at least double what I paid, I got a dress in my size, and I took it home that day!
I tried the whole salon experience and they had me try on sizes that are 12 numbers up from what I actually am so I couldn't get a good idea of how the dress would feel on my day.
My dress retails for around $3k but I bought it off the rack so I got it for $1.3k (including taxes, but not including alterations). I got it from a local boutique.
