How much is a marriage license in your state?

In South Carolina its $50

HOLY CRAP, That's cheap. Here in Cali. A Regular Public License is $88.00 and a Confidential License $90.00

In Maryland where we got married it was 40 dollars. The price has recently increased since our wedding to 50.

City of Chicago, I think we paid $65 for the license.

We don't get anything automatically after the wedding so when I call to request certified copies for insurance, social security, etc, I believe I need to pay a fee per copy.

It varies by county in WI-- of course we live in the expensive county... $130.

Kris I think your right but , Cook County is 60, but if u need copies I think it 15 or 20.00

I have a question... if I am getting married in FL but live in GA do we get a FL license or a GA one?

Serenity, I believe it actually varies by county. I was married in Hartford county where it is 50. Not that it really matters too much. I don't know if other states vary by county at all, but Maryland seems to.

@Vicky-- You need to get the certificate in the COUNTY you are getting married.

Vicky, you need to get your marriage license in Florida, the county where your ceremony will take place.

$24 in Rhode Island....glad I live here lol

Ours is pretty rediculous...$150 in the city, $120 if you get it 45 minutes outside the city and $100 if you drive an hour to get it. I'm in Ottawa, Canada
