How much did you spend on your wedding jewelry?

This was just something I was thinking about last night. I was previously engaged, and this was back when my mom was able to help pay for wedding stuff, and she took me jewelry shopping and we ended up spending almost $4000 for necklace, bracelet, and two pairs of earrings. Ridiculous I know! I knew in my head how frivolous it was to spend that much on something like that, but my mom had no objection in the world so I just went for it. And then when that engagement fell apart we tried to sell it, with no luck. I ended up having to pawn it and only got back $1800. So what is a more realistic amount to spend? I'm trying to get a budget in my head and this is one thing I'm unsure of. IDK if I could set the budget at $500 or $100...all I know is I definately am not going to be so frivolous this time...but I still want to look nice ya know?

What did you ladies pay for jewelry? What kind of materials? Real or fake? Just curuious.

Thanks!

All of my jewelry totaled up to be a little over $200. That included necklace, earrings, and my bridal comb.

My necklace, earrings and bracelet were all purchased off either eBay or Amazon and I am pretty sure the total wasn't much more than $100. I did splurge on my headpiece though - bought it at DBs for $125 but the minute I put it on I knew it was perfect.

12 bucks at Forever 21. It also looks antique. Winning.

I spent no money because I borrowed and used things I already owned. I'm fortunate to have inherited my grandmother's jewelry collection.

Maybe you can borrow some nice pieces from friends? I certainly wouldn't spend a lot of money on jewelry. Like Mrs. S said, when I look at my pictures, I really don't notice my jewelry. I think the dress and hair are more important for showing off a polished look.

I bought my earrings (1 pair) on etsy for $4.75. My necklace is my grandfathers ring on a chain and my bracelet is a bangle bracelet my dad gave me for my 21st birthday. So I spent a total of $4.75 on jewelry.

After I got my dress, I went to the shops around miracle mile (Miami), which is ver expensive but such beautiful things Smiley winking lol So I found my perfect earrings for $175, but I wasn't about to pay that for earrings and they weren't even gold...so I got the info and looked it up on amazon. I got the exact same ones for $40 lol I also got a bracelet from Macy's on sale for $30 so, all in all $60, and I had budgeted for $75 Smiley winking

Looking online, I think I spent about $40 on mine at Kohls. The first two are mine, then the third picture of the set is what I got for my BMs.

My head band was originally $150 but the girl gave me 100$ off of it along with the $200 off my dress, so I am going to go back when i go for my fitting and buy the jewellry I tired on with my dress. It consists of a 3 string pearl and rhinestone bracelet ($100) and a pearl necklace with a ribbon bow off to the side ($120).

I am wearing my great grandmothers pearls (small pearls, one strand, short necklace) as my "something borrowed" since my mom is the current owner and wants them back. I have seen some "statement" earrings on etsy with tons of cubic zirconium for around $80 which are really expensive in my opinion. Other than that...not sure

I'm wearing the strand of pearls my G-ma gave me as a HS graduation gift, the pearl stud earrings FH got me as a Christmas gift a few years ago, and my wedding rings.

Ha, I spent like, $60 total. I have 2 bracelets that are rhinestones and matching drop earrings. They're simple and go nicely with my dress. FH bought me diamond stud earrings to wear in my second ear piercing that I'll wear as well, I have no idea how much those cost, but I know they weren't cheap. Other than that, I'm wearing my grandma's wedding ring as my something old.

Less than 100.00 for earrings, necklace and bracelet. I just can't justify anything over that.

I was lucky that I got most of my jewelry from my sister. She is much older than me and her marriage didn't work out. So she gave me most of her jewelry.

I bough ta few pieces from my friend who runs http://glytterati.com

If you are interested, I can get you a 50% discount on any jewelry in the store. Or just contact them and tell them you are my friend Smiley smile
