How many reception venues did you look at before you made a decision?

We actually only looked at 1 and my heart was set on it! But I think you should look until you find a place you love! Definitely do not think you are crazy for it!

Our hearts were already set on a winery we had visited for Valentines Day, but when we had trouble getting in touch with them at first, we visited one other Winery that we all but hated. Thankfully everything worked out and we were able to book the place we visited on V-day.

4, had trouble with the one we almost booked so luckily we sat on the contract for a few days to make the best decision... please take your time at this decision!! i almost ended up in a really bad place because of some behind the scenes stuff that i was not told about from the venue. Dont get all excited to get the place booked, jsut make sure you do all your research. GOOD LUCK

We looked at 3... but I contacted about 10 places to get quotes ahead of time to see what would fit into our budget...

My FH and I looked at 13 before we picked our venue...I thought we were crazy, but I am glad we didn't settle for anything...look at as many places as you want until you find the perfect one for you..good luck!!

We probably looked at 20 but we had somewhat unique circumstances. We had a venue booked and then about a month after we put down the deposit, the venue closed. So we started over. After we looked at a few more places we decided to move the wedding to my hometown so once again, we had to start over. But the second I walked into my venue, I knew it was the one. So no, I absolutely don't think you are crazy for looking at so many places!!

I looked at a bunch of places online and put out email feelers. However, we only looked at one actual place, the place we picked. I had been the to establishment before and my older brother got married there as well, so I was confident in it. Plus it's all inclusive (you just have to bring cake, cookies, dj, photographer) and they do everything else for a great price (Lakeview in PA)

We called like 10 to 15 places and looked at about three or four. We looked at most online. We booked one and it was way to expensive so we got half of the deposit back then we booked an affordable place and it includes our cocktail hour and they are very flexible and offer some decorations! And I agree look around at every place possible ask other people who have gotten married as well

I must have looked at close to 50 venues online, but we only visited 3, including the one we chose. The first two were nice, but too many underlying issues that would cause stress on the big day. When we found our venue, it was right in our price range, and it was perfect. We both loved it immediately.

One in person. We knew it was "the one" from the start. It's also extremely well reviewed, so we felt very comfortable going for it (we went up the following weekend to sign).

Oh oops that's not right, I did a quick go-see by myself of another before that, but FH wasn't with me.

Ugh, I have looked at... 14? in person.. I keep finding things that make them not "perfect".. I LOVE the one I went to yesterday. but I am not sure it is big enough... it is getting very tiresome!!.. Still hoping to stumble on the best one, otherwise.. I will be cutting my guest list... A LOT!

We looked at 2. the place we orginally liked came with so many fees and prices that we were like no we can't do that, not to mention different people different prices, so we want to a bridal show and fell in love wit the place that it was held and we spoke to the people got a great price for everything and booked a week later. i love it so much. when FH signed the contract i was like "we're really getting married" "this is happening" he said"yes, it is". crazy.

We looked at 2 and picked the 2nd one!

I contacted about a dozen, looked at one, and booked it.

We've only officially considered three besides the hall/plaza at our church, and we haven't gone to see any salespeople yet, but I have my "wedding glasses" on everywhere. I am ALWAYS scoping out potential locations for everything!
