I'm giving mine just over 2 weeks to RSVP. Call those you haven't heard from a week before the wedding

I've also heard send the invites 8 weeks before the wedding and the due date for RSVPs 2 weeks before, I think that's what I'm planning to do.

We sent out invites the week after Valentine's Day.

Our RSVP date was April 1st (although no one followed that).

Average is 6-8 weeks prior with approximately 3 weeks to a month for RSVP...

We mailed ours 2 months before our date. We asked for RSVPS 4 weeks before our date. We don't need our final count for our caterer until 10 days before the wedding but we needed to know approximately for our florist 3 weeks before for a final count on centerpieces.

Your invites should go out about 6- 8 weeks prior to your RSVP date. You can determine your RSVP date by when you need to give final head counts to vendors. Example- my vendors need a head count 2 weeks prior to our wedding so I am giving myself an extra week to track down any last minute stragglers. We sent out invites out at the end of February/beginning of March with an RSVP date of April 21, 2012.

    Hope this helps Smiley smile

@Honey, I think 6-8 before RSVP date is a little too long, good chance people will forget or mis-place RSVP, it should be 6-8 weeks before wedding date with a 3-4 week window for return of RSVP....just my opinion...

We are sending our invites out in mid-end of June, we are requesting the RSVPs be back by August 7.

Ours are going out this week with an RSVP date towards the end of June. This is because it's a destination wedding for most people and we didn't send out STDs.

We are sending our out 3 months before the BIG day and RSVP is 1 month before the wedding. This gives us plenty of time to get a hold of people that did not go online and RSVP and get everything situated and still have time to invite others and give in our final number.

Our wedding is july 21st, we are sending invite our the first week in mya (so close eeeek!!!) and rsvp's are due back june 15th so it gives us some room for late people or any changes and enough time to pay it off. caterer wants money 2 weeks before the wedding...

Sent mine out about 10 weeks before the wedding, with an RSVP date of 3 weeks before the wedding. My caterer wants my final headcount 2 weeks before, so I need to have time to do the seating chart/etc.
