Having another "I just want this wedding to be over" moment

We'llAlwaysHaveParis, on January 28, 2013 at 11:45 PM Posted in Planning 0 28

I go in phases. Sometimes I like planning. Other times it makes my head hurt and I want all of these decisions to be behind us. Right now, I'm just over it.

Eloping is not an option - I've begged, pleaded, and bribed. Nothing works.

I feel like this sometimes too! I'm in the excited phase right now because my dad has just agree to do a choreographed mash-up song with me! Yay!!

Have you threatened too? J/K :-)

I think most brides have those phases. I totally blew up a few times when people wouldn't stop bothering me with details that I didn't care about. But this too shall pass and you will be in the good phase again.

    Any particular decision bothering you?

Mrs. S. That's where I am right now. If my FMIL asks me about the rehearsal dinner one more time, I might lose it. I DON'T HAVE HALF THE ACTUAL WEDDING PLANNED! WHY CAN'T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT WHAT WE ARE EATING THE NIGHT BEFORE IS THE LEAST OF MY WORRIES! Also getting annoyed when BMs and MOG and MOB ask what they should be wearing. How about I figure out what I am wearing first, mmmkay?

OMG Beth, that was my only, true mega bridezilla (to steal from you) moment.

My dress didn't fit right, and the salon kept on NOT fixing it. So a week before my wedding, I didn't have a wedding dress, AND I kept on making 1-hour trips to the salon almost every day.

At the same time, my SIL that neither H nor I even talk to, made my BIL call H every single day to ask him to ask me what she should wear. That's when I had to go to the cat's closet and get one little cat shotgun...

I've definitely had those moments! I am trying to enjoy the process but sometimes it is just ridiculous. Standing in the ribbon isle at any craft store debating two almost identical ribbon for 10 minutes when the guests probably wont notice is getting a little old.

Sometimes I feel like that.. but mostly because we have a lot of payments and I want that part to be over with. I can't wait for my wedding night and I feel like its gonna take forever.

If I had unlimited money... I think it would be a whole different story! lol

    Good luck!

I've felt like this for months. I wanted to elope for a while. And if we didn't elope then we'd have to have a long engagement to save up. It was a lose lose situation. Oh well. 4 more months!

Just hit 3 months till the big day on Sunday. It was pointed out to me that I haven't asked for help with planning the wedding. It's only been people who have asked that are helping. Well excuse me people I have problems delegating. Especially when I don't want to bug people with requests. sigh. I feel ya girl, but there comes a point where we can't give up... I think I'm on that threshold of no return, and choosing eloping I mean...

go wedding planning! (added as an edit)

Last night it was photography giving me fits.

Everything from not being able to find price lists online (for e-pix) to e-pic attire to location. FH is taking engagement pictures to new stress levels for me. I don't want to rain on his parade and it WILL be fun, but all the prep that goes into it. ARGH.

(he is helping with wedding planning so we have that going for us =)

Oh I'm at the same place! I just begged to elope this morning. We had a budget meltdown last week, and I thought I was over that and excited again .... Then my FFIL decided he needed to help plan our wedding. Now I'm ready to pull out my hair all over again.

I keep saying if I had to do it all over again, I'd skip the whole wedding thing & just get married.

But then the sick part of me pokes up and says stop lying, you really love it. Smiley smile

I'm so there with you. I wish March 16th would just get here already. All I care about is the ceremony. If I can get that over with, then I can just let the reception go by in a blur.

I honestly don't care about any of this crap. I'm doing all of this planning because HE wants it. I've begged and pleaded to elope too, and he won't budge.

Aww how sad that you have these feelings! I'm already sad for it to be over & our wedding isn't until December! I've been busy planning and doing things mostly on my own- putting others in charge is too stressful for me. How will I know things are being done correctly?! The most stress I've had thus far is FMIL annoying me with her shower. So I told her I wanted it all to be a surprise so not to talk w/ me about it. Now life is perfect again! Just have FUN! It isn't supposed to be stressful. When it starts being a chore stop & do something else. Anything is overwhelming if you never take a break!
