Fondant, buttercream, or naked?

We are going buttercream. Fondant is just not good. The flavor is nasty. And the FH said naked is too plain. We are also having cream cheese filling.

Buttercream. Fondant looks good but not for me. The icing is the best part.

I care more for the taste rather than the look and there's still plenty that can be done as far as design on a frosted cake. I'm probably going to end up doing a semi naked because while I love buttercream frosting, my sweet tooth is super sensitive plus I think it'll go better with my rustic theme!

I am buttercream’s biggest fan! 😍 However, we have decided to go with the fondant cake with vanilla filling.

We are doing whipped cream frosting. It’s not sickeningly sweet and goes well with both flavors we’ve chosen. Yellow cake with strawberry creme filling and chocolate cake with raspberry filling!

I love buttercream but I also love the sleek formal look of fondant!

Always buttercream. Fondant tastes horrible. Why have cake if it's going to look pretty but taste awful. I'd rather have an ugly cake that tastes amazing.

White chocolate ganache, smoothed to look like fondant. I can't wait!

We did a whipped cream frosting. I don't care for buttercream, I find it too sweet.

We will be having buttercream! It wasn't actually a choice we got to make (cruise ship wedding, some things are pre-set), but it was one we would have picked anyway as neither of us like the stale marshmallow taste of fondant.
