Will you arrange the flowers yourself that you get from Trader Joe's?

Save. With no bridal party, I just needed a bouquet for me. With our pirate theme we did candelabras instead of floral centerpieces.

BUT... if did had a traditional wedding, flowers would have been on if my budget priorities. 💐

Splurge! I love plants and flowers--this is honestly the most exciting part of picking decorations for me. I want all the flowers! I'll use real as much as possible, but I'll also be looking at silk flowers and possibly some wooden flowers for my own bouquet so that we can keep it.

Have you thought about what material you would like your artificial flowers to be made of? 😊

Not yet. It’s still a while away and I’m not too picky about it. I just know that I want fake flowers.

BIG save here. My bridal bouquet are the only flowers we are having and all centerpieces are pinecones and evergreen branches which will be put together by us.

My bouquet will have white oriental lilies, pinecones, evergreen branches, eucalyptus leaves, and silver brunia. Smiley flower I would normally put babies breath in as a filler, but my dog is our flower girl and babies breath is toxic to dogs.

She has a bandana that matches our wedding colors and decor! This is our perfect pup, Galaga! She was 14 weeks old and 35lbs in this photo, but is 5.5 months old and 64lbs now. She is a Great Dane if you couldn't tell by her size. Hahaha

Hi! Would you mind explaining what your doing/did with the DIY wedding flowers? I sourced + bought flowers and made arrangements with friends for our engagement party and it was the best idea and saved us tons of money. Im wondering if Im a little crazy to want to do this for our wedding. Thanks!

The florist that we used offers a DIY option. We met with the florist and went over our vision. She helped us pick which flowers would work best for our colors and season. The florist ordered all of the flowers and supplies, and the day before the wedding my wife and I took a few of our bridesmaids to their shop and they had an instructor teach us how to put everything together. Basically, she would do one sample and we would follow suit with the rest. We saved about 50% off of our other quotes because of the cost of labor. If my florist didn't offer this option with an instructor, I don't think I would have tried to tackle it on my own.

Thank you so much for getting back to me. I really think I am going to seek out this option. Kudos to you. Although I'm sure it was a lot of work, I hope your enjoyed it.
