Fall brides -- how are you making your wedding "feel autumn-ish"

I felt ridiculous calling a store the other day to see if their pumpkin tealight holders were in stock yet, but I want to get them NOW! lol. They said they might be in in the next couple of weeks..

I'm just curious how all of the fall brides are making your wedding feel fall-ish. Are you having pumpkins? Are you serving cider? Are your centerpieces fall harvest inspired?

This is what we're doing:

-Our centerpieces include tall vases with curly willow and chinese lantern branches

-We have gem table scatter in leaf shapes (this stuff: http://www.pier1.com/Leaf-Gem-Mix/2700971,default,pd.html?cgid=halloween)

-We are having small pumpkins throughout the venue (on the guest book table, etc), and one with each centerpiece. We might be spray painting them gold, not sure yet.

-Perhaps monogrammed pumpkins somewhere

-We are serving pumpkin cake as part of our dessert table

-our colors are orange/berry

-we're doing the cut slices of wood as escort card holders & cake stand.

Our colors are chocolate brown and cherry red, the flowers will have shades of red, peach/orange, & ivory, and the small top layer of our cake will be spice cake with pumpkin mousse.

I think that's about it though... I think I'm just trying to keep the colors warm and the setting elegant. I didn't really want to incorporate the whole "fall" thing

We are november which could go either way fall or winter. we are having a winter themed wedding winter romance instead. I am not a big fan of orange brown and other fall colors including pumpkins and stuff so i decided to go with winter. red and silver or mercury

We'll have vibrant colored flowers for the centerpieces and bouquets. We have a tree theme, so each table will have a drawing of a tree and the placecards will have the leaf as well as tree name and guest name. Placecard holders are slices of birch. That's enough for me though!

We stayed from the season theme. We went with darker jewel tones for our theme. Since we are getting married on the "Day of the Dead" we have a couple of touches here and there to celebrate.

I am trying to avoid making my wedding feel like its in fall. In actuality, I am incorporating more fresh and spring-y elements then anything.

Totally using pumpkins...found a couple of fake ones at a yard sale this weekend for $1 each! I LOVE fall so I can't help but include it in the wedding decor!

I did not prefer the traditional fall colors so we went forest-themed. Thinking more apple and less pumpkin- greens, browns- we are having cupcakes along with vanilla ice cream and apple topping. I wanted caramel apple favors so badly but realized it was near impossible for our size guest list.

Fall colors with lanterns and hay bales outside the venue. Plus smell good fall candles from bath and body works!

I am having a rustic fall theme. The bridesmaids dresses are all earth toned ombre colors, FG in ivory and the only one wearing an orange dress is my daughter. I will incorporate the fall colors in the boutonnieres, hair flowers, decorations, fg basket and reception decorations etc. My JR BM will be carrying the rings down. They will be tied to a pumpkin instead of using a traditional ring pillow. As for ceterpieces, I will have my favors doubled as center pieces. Will be using a pie stand to hold the Smores boxes. Along with leaves scattered and mason jars covered with doilies with tea light candles in them (battery operated). We are having a small cupcake cake with the top tier that will look like a birch tree log with our initials "carved in it. And we have having different fall deserts such as pies, cakes, football brownies OH which reminds me, my husband will be tossing the garter wrapped on a football. We cant forget about Fall football season : )

    Marlina,

That's the theme I'm going for as well! You'll have to show me how it turns out! When is your wedding date?

    Hi date twin!

I'm not doing too much fall stuff... our colors are definitely fall inspired; we are doing lantern centerpieces, which I suppose is a little "fall-like", and I may do some leaves (or that leaf gem mix you linked to, that's really cute) mixed in with rose petals. But I didn't want to go too crazy. I might see if I can sneak a pumpkin in somewhere though.

Hi @Laura Nicole! I love that gem stuff I think it would look nice with rose petals. We are doing lanterns as well.

I'm not. I don't want my wedding tied to a specific season.
