Do you ever take your engagement ring off? What are your "ring rules"? 💍

I wear my engagement ring 24/7

I've never heard of the 6 S's until just now. I never take my ring off except to shower. I wear it for EVERYTHING else. I don't feel right without it. It makes me more nervous not having it on all day long. I love staring at it through out the day anyway.

As a massage therapist, I don't bring my ring to work. I as well do not like just putting it in my purse. If i go anywhere else I make sure to put it on.

I don’t wear mine that often, actually. I am a vet tech so I don’t want to wear it to work due to risk of injury or damage to it, and then when I’m at home a lot of the time I also don’t wear it because I forget to put it on! I do have silicone rings that I wear, though.

I definitely follow the 6 S's. I have a dainty ring with an opal stone. Opal seems to be pretty easily damaged so I only ever wear my ring when I get dressed up to go somewhere. My job requires some hands-on work with clothing and lifting, so I rarely ever wear my ring to work as well. I wish I could wear it everyday!

I wear it all the time.

I take mine off when I sleep (sometimes), workout, and do dishes/ scrub the bathroom or floors! Otherwise, I am always wearing it

The only S I truly abide by is swimming. Other than that I haven’t taken it off.

I am diligent about putting my ring on first thing in the morning when I get dressed or even when I stay in my PJs (I keep it in a box right next to the bed) I make a point to wear it every day even if I don't plan on going anywhere which is kinda silly when I walk into the gas station in sweatpants, my fiancé's hoodie and my big flashy engagement ring lol

I will sometimes sleep with it on but I definitely abide by the 6S rules for the most part for a couple reasons,

1. It's kinda tall like bulky and tends to snag on things.

2. I don't want it to get gunked up or damaged by soaps, dirt, cleaners, etc...

I also very quickly put it back on after I've taken it off to do a specific task as to not miss place it!

If I were to go, lets say to the beach or camping for instance, I would most likely leave my ring at home in the safe.

I never take mine off but my ring is also covered under insurance, so if there’s damage I can get it fixed.

I wear my almost 24/7, I take mine off to shower and when I'm at work, the stone is too big to wear at work itll tear my gloves

I take it off when I take a shower or wash my hands at home.

Always for showering, sometimes cooking (how dirty will my hands get?) And definitely yes for beach excursions (would hate to lose in the ocean).
It’s also just a little big, so if it’s going to be immersed in water or really cold, I’m afraid to wear as it may slip off.

I never take my ring off. I used to when I took kick boxing classes! But if I do ever take it off, it goes back in the box in my jewelry box and I wear one of my silicone ones.

I’ve had my ring for 3 and half months now, but one of my stones recently became loose and when I asked the jeweler why she said it was because I was wearing it 24/7 instead of abiding by the care instructions. Lol! So now I’ve started taking it off at night and to shower. I plan to order more ring holders to make sure I put it in a safe spot when I’m taking it off to shower, sleep and cook.

I take it off when I shower or when I clean. Otherwise it’s typically on! Everyone seems to be so different, I have never seen my mom take her ring off, but I’m so cautious and always worried about something happening to it!!

I take it off when I sleep, shower, cook, or clean. It's slightly big, so anytime I'm worried it might fly off, I just remove it. But I wear it whenever I can!

I’ve been engaged for 2 years and have only taken my ring off when I’m gardening, cleaning, or going camping. I have a wooden ring box I put it in when I’m not wearing it so that I don’t lose it! I clean it at home, I have a little bowl I fill with hot water and dawn dish soap and I let it sit in there for like an hour and it makes it sparkle like new! I’m a nurse and people have asked me why I wear my ring to work (which I think is a weird question for someone to ask anyways) and I said if I didn’t wear it to work I wouldn’t be wearing it a majority of the time ha! Something my fiancé spent so much on shouldn’t be sitting at home in a box, I love my ring and wear it 90-95% of the time 😊

I wear my ring all the time except for when I’m sleeping!!!
