Do you ever take your engagement ring off? What are your "ring rules"? 💍

I’m torn as well. Only been engaged for 3 weeks and I’m still scared to have such an expensive ring on my finger lol. I only take it off when I shower or work out but I always put it in the box if it’s not on my finger. I’d love to hear what others are doing!

I actually never take my ring off. I will if I have to for specific reasons but none has come up yet.

I follow the S's. Although sometimes I take it off when Im just chillin at home bc Im paranoid Im going to somehow damage it. #klutzygirlproblems

I take mine off to shower and if I'm cooking or cleaning. It always goes into ring trays I have set up uf its not firmly planted on my finger.

I take my ring off for work (I’m a police officer and I don’t want to injure myself or take a chance losing/damaging) the ring. Instead I wear a silicone band while on duty. I wear my ring the rest of the time out of the house but the minute I get home I take my ring off as I am usually doing chores like cleaning and cooking.

I only ever take my ring off to shower, clean, or cook. I'm sure I'll also take it off come summertime if I go swimming. I always wear it to sleep though!

I take mine off when I weightlift (but not if I'm just going for a run) and sometimes when I cook depending on how messy it is. I take it off to shower because a jeweler told me to.

In the summer I'll also probably take it off when I do outside work or when I'm at the beach.

If I feel that the ring may get lost or damaged, I take it off and put it somewhere secure.

Yes I do, (only when I am home *) and depending on what I’m doing lol - if I’m doing. A hair treatment, I either wear gloves (over my ring) or take it off— same for if I’m spray tanning, so yes the answer is sometimes I do - but never out, always at home and out it directly into my ring holder just depends on the situation

I only ever take it off to shower, sleep, workout, or if I'm doing something messy where I have the potential to damage it. I always wear it when I leave the house. I feel naked without it.

I take mine off in the shower, dealing with meat when I cook, doing dishes and if I go into a spa or the water.

I don't even wear mine now that I've my wedding band but when I was engaged I didn't take it off while out. But when I came home I would aha because I found it uncomfortable

I have unknowingly been abiding by the Six S rules. I work out 3-4 times a week and couldn't imagine wearing my ring to the gym! Other than that, I wear it daily, everywhere.

I take mine off in the shower (just because the stone gets caught in my hair when I wash it lol) and when I cook anything messy or clean using chemicals that I may end up touching (which is rare). My husband takes his off when he goes to the gym because he lifts weights and doesn’t want to scratch the ring. But I just do Pilates so I leave it on for exercise because that’s not going to do anything to it :p

My ring is larger and I normally don't wear it at home, regardless of activities/tasks. I wear it when I go out for leisure or work.

I take it off before I shower, put lotion on or wash my hands or do dishes. Basically anywhere soap or lotion or mud can get into it, I’ll take it off. I used to work at a jewelry store and the girls who never took it off, yes it’s romantic I suppose but their diamonds were dull and the beautiful details on the rings were filled in with years worth of lotion and soap that was almost impossible to completely clean off.

I follow the "Six S Rules". Any other time it's right on my finger. I actually feel naked without it.

Gosh, Wish I could wear my ring 24/7 because it is absolutely stunning. However, I am an RN and I cannot wear my ring all the time (plus I don't want to get it all gross!) When I'm at home I cannot wait to walk through the door and put it back on again.
And my fiance definitely notices when I forget!!!

I’ve been engaged for a few months and really struggled with this at first - I ended up asking the married/engaged women in my life for advice. Everyone had a different response, so it’s really up to the person and what you feel comfortable with! I take mine off for cooking, cleaning, working out, showering and sleeping. My stone sits up high and I don’t want it to get caught, really it’s just personal preference!

I more or less follow the 6 S's. Sometimes I forget when I'm cooking. When I go to the gym after work I usually leave it on too, because I don't want to leave my ring in my car or in the locker room. I have just recently started taking my ring off when I sleep, because one night before bed my finger started swelling so now I take it off because I'm nervous they swell too much when I sleep.
