Do you ever take your engagement ring off? What are your "ring rules"? 💍

I take my ring off when I am putting lotion on, gardening, messing with meat, and when I go camping. I don't want to damage it, or get it all gross. I will say that when it's off, I cant wait to put it back on!

I only rake off my engagement ring when I'm washing my hair. I moisturize with coconut oil to prevent ring rash

I work as a CNA so I always take it off at work in fear I’ll lose one of the stones. So as a replacement I wear one of the rubber rings. I also take it off when I do the dishes and when I shower.

I have been engaged since September and I have only taken my ring off once and it was to dye my own hair so I didn’t ruin it. Other than that is never leaves my finger. I think it’s a symbol of my fiancé’s love and I never want to lose that

I wear mine majority of the time. I take my ring off for shower, putting on lotion, swimming or at lake, doing dishes (sometimes), and cooking especially if my hands are going to get covered in food (meatballs, bacon fat, veggies, etc)

I always take it off for my CrossFit workouts. I get so worried that I might lose it when it’s off, so sometimes I just leave it at home. There are no lockers at the gym I go to. I just put my stuff in a cubbyhole. My fiancé is in agreement with me not wearing it at the gym or even bringing it with me to the gym at all. It feels strange to not have it on if I’m running errands after the gym though.

I use to be scared to wear my ring in the shower and during workouts and to bed. I took it off all of the time. Until I went to do pictures for my fiancé and I FORGOT MY RING! I felt terrible because we had only been engaged for a couple of weeks and I would forget my ring everywhere I went. After talking to some other ladies I decided to wear my ring all the time and now when it’s not on It feels weird because I’m unconsciously checking to make sure I still have it all day long. If your worried about wearing your ring I would recommend the silicone rings they have. I don’t have any yet but I seen a 4 pack at Walmart yesterday I should have purchased for only 2.88. I’m going to get these before spring because I work in the fields with farmers and stick my hands in planters and dirt all day long and don’t want to ruin my ring. I hope this helped!

I wear mine pretty much all the time except for when weight lifting. I don't want to risk bending the metal when weightlifting so I put it in my wallet and leave it in my locker, then wear a silicone band (my hand feels WEIRD without a ring on it) while I work out.

I do religiously clean my ring though.

I don’t wear my engagement ring on the week days because I am more apt to break it at my job and I don’t want that but I have a silicon ring that I wear to replace my ring then on the weekends I wear my actual ring

I take mine off work the six S rules, but I also don't wear mine to work. I work in healthcare so the constant handwashing, glove changes and everything else I do with my hands adds a lot of wear and tear to my ring. After I lost an accent stone and had to get it fixed I stopped wearing it to work. Plus my 2ct oval halo engagement ring kept ripping through my gloves, in healthcare that's scary!

I didn’t know it was called the 6 S rule, but that is what I do. I also bought two special decorative tiny jewelry boxes and keep one downstairs by the kitchen and one upstairs on the bedside table so when I take my ring off for whatever reason, I always make sure to put it in one. I also have to travel a lot for work, mostly international and sometimes to not the safest destinations, so, depending on where I am going, sometimes I will leave my engagement ring at home and wear an inexpensive band until I return.

I follow all of the S's, except sleep. I keep it on then. I also leave it at home when I go for a hike or at the beach. Don't risk losing it outside

I only wear my ring when I leave the house. Same rule I used for my other rings.

I wear mine all day every day, EXCEPT when showering, sleeping or doing dishes

I only take my ring off when I shower, work out and sleep (it tends to always fall off).

I do try to wear mine 24/7 the only time I take mine off is when I’m in the shower or when I’m doing my hair makeup and lotion but other than that it’s on my finger

I'm OCD when it comes to cleaning my house so I use chemicals. I try to use rubber gloves but that doesn't always work out so i have a little ring dish by the kitchen sink (I have a corner sink) and leave the ring there while I clean. I also take it off once a week to clean the ring in witch hazel for 20 min. It leaves it sparkling clean.
