DB Dresses... let me see yours.

Jen, on March 15, 2013 at 10:43 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 60

Not to single anyone out, but I want to see your DB purchases. I've seen every single dress on that site, and tried on most of them, but I want to see what you guys got.

I'll start with mine. It's in ivory, and it's so beautiful in person. The camera function on my phone stopped working, and I didn't get to take a pic of me in it. I'll take a pic when it comes in.

Did you get yours in ivory too? What are you doing with the one strap? I'm thinking of tucking it in because FH isn't a fan, and neither am I. I don't want them taking it off because I'm afraid how the tulle will look.

Yes, I got mine in ivory. I'm leaving the strap - it gives me peace of mind that my dress won't fall down. I'm not sure if they can take it off because of all the beading/pleating that's going on up there. Why doesn't he like it?

Mine will not be a pure white (I'm already pale and don't want to look like a ghost bride). when I saw it I fell in love with it.

    Beautiful, girls!!!!

Bittsey, he's traditional and not trendy. He thinks it's weird-looking. I'm personally on the fence about wearing it. I kind of like it, but I want to take his taste into consideration too.

And I have ample boobage, so I'm sure my dress won't fall down.

See - gotta keep the girls in! They may be able to curve the beading along the top of the cup, but I don't know...

Yeah - I'm a DD, so I'm more worried about the dress migrating down over the course of the day / dancing.

The first 2 are me in the sample from when I ordered my dress last July. The 3rd picture is me in my actual dress about a month ago. It is in alterations right now. I have a jeweled appliqué that is getting added to the front at the bust line, the straps are getting shortened, and I an getting the back zipper covered with buttons - I have always loved the look of buttons down the back!

@Sara P. I didn't know you could add buttons!! I may have to thing about that! I bet your dress will be even prettier with those buttons!

I think my seamstress is charging $30 to add buttons. I love the look and went with a cheaper dress so I figured it was worth it. The buttons just go on top of the zipper - they are purely decorative.
