Did you pick your ring or were you completely surprised?

He surprised me actually. He knew I wanted something simple and not flashy. I was completely surprised and had no idea.

I definitely hinted at what I wanted and we both learned about diamonds together. I had a few options I showed him but he picked my favorite which made it that much better!

We went shopping together and I picked out my top 3. He chose my favorite one!

My fiancé chose mine...we never talked about what I liked. The proposal was a total surprise. I mean, I knew it was coming, but not when it did. He picked something that I never would have, but it is different than anything else I have seen and I love my ring SO much. This is my engagement ring with the enhancer that I picked to use as my wedding band.

Realized my pic never showed up in my last post...here it is. This was at the store, so the band isn’t sized. I also need my engagement rind dipped again & my diamonds cleaned. We’ve been engaged 5 years, so it needs some love. 😂

We went shopping together. I picked 3 of my favorites and he made the final decision.

Mine picked out the entire set all on his own! Engagement and wedding bands. I’m in love! He played on my love for vintage and rose gold. The ring even has filagree on the sides of the bands.

My FH has... interesting taste in jewelry (I think he just doesn't have much experience picking out thoughtful pieces, and tends to go for the gaudy imo). So when I knew he was going to be looking at rings, I made a point to sit down with him one day and show him examples of rings that I liked on Pinterest.

He then spent the next few months custom-designing a ring based on what I liked. So the ring itself was a complete surprise (and I'm absolutely in love with it), even though I gave him some guidance.

My engagement ring was my grandmother’s and we had to get it from my Mom so I knew he had it but he completely surprised me with the proposal. We picked the wedding band together, which was also an estate piece and matched perfectly.

Your ring is lovely! FH picked mine out and I love it! It was just what I wanted.

For the ring I made it easy I let her pick out the engagement ring cause that was all I heard about was this ring for almost two months and I knew she loved it. For the wedding bands I picked out and designed them myself and have had them made she has not seen them so would be surprised at wedding.

That ring is gorgeous! My fiancé and I went ring shopping before and we kept the information on 2 rings I really loved with a third just Incase back up since I didn’t want something quite so traditional

I knew my FH would consult my friends, so I took them to the shops and showed them what I liked. My FH asked my best friend/man of honor out to drinks and asked about ring style and size and they did great! He had my mother’s stone put into the setting.

I picked my ring somewhat, i selected 3 and he picked the one I liked the most.,

We had gone looking about 6 months before he actually proposed. I've always an emerald cut but they didn't have any at the stores, I was really disappointed. When he finally got down on one knee I didn't know what was going to be in that box! He's the type who does his own thing. But it is perfect!!! Exactly what I've dreamed of!

I have this wedding band too!! Mine is morganite and needs cleaned really often. lol! It looks beautiful!!

My fiance used his mom's ring who passed before we met. It has such a special meaning. I was completely surprised when he asked, but had seen the ring before.
