Hey brides!
Did you go ring shopping with your fiancé or did they go and pick it out the ring on their own? My fiancé picked out a ring for the proposal and then we went ring shopping together for my engagement ring.
We looked together, I picked one out I loved. About a month or so later, we went back just to look again and the ring was still there! It was perfectly sized to my finger already, no sizing needed! So we bought it and he surprised me with the proposal later!

We went ring shopping on a few different occasions. I was with him when he ordered/purchased the ring. He did surprise me with the engagement though. I thought it was happening several different occasions before it actually did but nothing. It was truly beautiful and worth the wait.
I was completely surprised. I knew he was going to ask, but he designed the ring himself, with an amethyst as the primary stone, and diamonds along both sides of the bridge. Then he had a designer help with finishing touches. He was so nervous! But it came out beautifully. I absolutely love it.
My fiancé completely surprised me with my ring, I am more of a silver girl but he chose gold. It honestly is so perfect, I love it so much & always catch myself looking at it. Not something I ever thought I’d pick on my own, but he did the best.

We have opted against rings. He works a lot with his hand and materials that might interact with metals and I myself can stand having anything on, only small earrings.
My FH & I decided we wanted to finally get married (8 years later because we met in middle school), the next weekend we went to Diamond's Direct and I ended up customizing my own ring because I love yellow gold. It's more beautiful than I ever imagined I'd have!
That’s a beautiful ring! I sorta picked mine out. He proposed with his family’s ring and then showed me this one a few months later. I said that I loved it and he bought it. His family’s ring was a stone with a simple band. We kept the band in a box. He has had the stone removed from the band and placed in my wedding ring. I can’t wait to wear it. Here’s my new engagement ring.
I work in the jewelry industry so I knew what style I wanted. He proposed with just a solitaire and I remounted it later. We had talked about it so I knew it was coming eventually but was still a complete surprise in when and how it would happen!
This ring is his late grandma’s ring so it was a ring that was pasted down. I think it is completely beautiful and unique As I haven’t seen anything else like it before.
I picked the place (Brilliant Earth), so he booked an appointment. I tried on the ring I was *convinced* was the one...and HATED it in person! 😭 He picked a few more rings out, and one of his choices was the winner. I can't believe he knew my style better than I did!!
Oooh I have a great story! Three years ago I was wandering through a local antique store and I spotted the ring of my dreams. An Art Deco 1920s white gold design - it's the only ring I've ever asked to try on, and it fit perfectly. I sent a picture of the ring to my best friend and told her 'if my partner ever asks you what kind of ring I'd like, this is it'. Three years later he proposed, and I was overwhelmed by how much I loved the ring. Then I looked closer. He'd gone to the same antique store and picked out THE EXACT SAME RING. It was somehow still there, and my best friend hadn't even told him about it!
I actually had two as well. I love them both....although I'm obsessed with the second one because he designed it on his own and it incorporates parts of the first one!
Such a beautiful ring! I gave my fiancé a general idea of what I wanted. He knew I wanted an emerald cut solitaire... he ended up getting me exactly what I wanted and then some by adding a hidden halo!
I showed my fiance a ring I absolutely loved about 3 years ago. He had my ring custom made to look like the ring I had shown him, but a little different so it's unique to me!
