Did you pick your ring or were you completely surprised?

To add, I was completely surprised when he proposed! I had no idea it was going to happen. He asked me on his birthday!

Here’s my ring!Funny thing, I did pick out my ring originally. I refuse to wear $300+ ring, since I work with kids and am very clumsy. So I found a really pretty bridal set bellow that and slipped that info to my now Fiancé! The downside is it was an order online, and now Fiancé failed to account for the “post holiday mail jam.” So this cute little dork was in a panic that he didn’t have a ring the day before he planned the proposal, so he booked it to a jewelers. Learning very quickly that “engagement” rings are stupid expensive, he asked to see the promise rings and stumbled upon this beautiful ring! Funniest part, our relationship has a lot to deal with “knots” or meanings of infinity. My newest tattoo even stars a Celtic knot meaning “eternal love” So he proposes with this on our ten year anniversary, despite my clueless self messing him up several times! Then two weeks later the original ring shows up, but I tell him to return it. I wanted the ring that came from his heart.

I knew about him proposing only because he kept asking my ring size and saying he had a surprise for me and all this so I knew but I didn’t know about the ring!!

FH picked it! Which is what I preferred. I didn’t want anything to do with it, because it felt more meaningful. We never even went ring shopping. So I didn’t even know the proposal was coming😲. I love my rings bc I didn’t want a traditional set. And I currently wear all 3, even while engaged🙃

I was completely surprised! My fiancé did a great job on my ring! 🥰

I had told him about a year before our engagement what kind of rings I like but I was completely surprised with my engagement ring. I love it so much! He did so good!
Our wedding is in 86 days!

Mister selected four rings and had me narrow it down too two and then my final selection. So I guess I had a part in selecting my ring

I gave him ideas what I liked and he went to the jewelry store and it’s so beautiful I love it 😍

My hunny picked out my ring on his own. He did good! I love my ring. It is so me.

Mine was a little of both! I had went shopping in October and December of 2018 to kind of get an idea of what I thought I liked. I picked three different styles that I'd be happy with, sent him pictures, sent him my size, and told him to do the rest. Fast forward to August 2019, and he customized the perfect one. Its been 7 months since we've been engaged and we still catch ourselves staring at it.

I was completely surprised. We had talked about it a couple of time in the past and I always mentioned I didn’t need or want anything big, but instead something that was unique and that he could see me in it.

I just got engaged last night. I designed the ring with my fiance but didn't see the final "product" until last night. So I wasn't surprised. But my fiance was surprised when I pulled out a ring for him.
