Just wondering what your views are on this subject. Is that what your FH/H did or is doing?

FH won't go, he finds the whole idea gross. (His Dad is super old school when is comes to how you should treat/view women and therefore pretty much told him he would get his ass whooped if he ever stepped into one). *Shrug* I would be alright with it so long as he didn't go into a VIP room or spent more than a few hundred. But thankfully it's a moot point for me.

I really have no interest in going to one either so it's not really a topic of discussion for us.

No offense ladies, but I'm almost certain that any straight man is lying if he tells you he isnt interested in strip clubs. Men are visual, what would he not like about seeing mostly attractive naked ladies?

Ehh it's whatevaaaa! I appreciate boobs, and he does too so I can't get upset if he wants to go look! I told him his manhood can't touch/enter any part of said stripper. Or lips! He can look all he wants, even get a dance.

If he went it wouldn't really mean anything to me. It COULD happen, I just doubt it. He and his friends will probably go on some extreme camping, fishing, kayaking extravaganza and still come home with horrible hangovers, lol.

In our eyes, it is not appropriate.

    Matthew 5:27-28 27

You have heard that it was said, You shall not commit adultery. But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

I'm not a fan but then I've never been in one. He has gone a few times but I wasn't happy about it. I'm with DLovesD...alcohol can really impair your judgement esp around buddies and peer pressure. I don't judge how others view it and I've considered going to one with him sometime.

But in any case, this is not our first marriage for either of us and he doesn't feel we need to do the whole bachelor/bachelorette party thing so we are just going out with all our friends together. Who knows maybe we will end up at one together that night lol Smiley smile

Nope. We demand respect from each other and him going to look at naked women doesn't fit that mold. I have no doubts that he would find enjoyment in it, he's a man. But I'm SO glad he wouldn't even consider it.

We’re having a joint party and doing a pub crawl with all our friends. I wouldn’t care if he wanted to do a strip club bachelor party but that’s not him. If we weren’t doing a joint party he probably would’ve elected to have a day fishing with the guys. I eventually want to go to a strip club together…maybe after the pub crawl? :-/

H didn't want to go to one for his bachelor party. He said he outgrew that year's ago and is over it. But I don't care. I like strip clubs. I think they are fun. As long as he isn't touching them, I don't care, but since he isn't in to it anymore, its NBD.

I think it just depends on the couple. I know he used to frequent them lots, which is why he says he is burnt out. But if his buddy's bachelor party us at one, I don't care. He knows right from wrong, even under the influence of alcohol. And his friends respect me and our relationship.

@Ashley - actually, my FH really isnt into strip clubs. Maybe it is just the men you associate with?

We are both going to Vegas for our bachelor/ette parties, but neither of us are going to strip clubs.

I think a big issue is where you live & what's allowed. FH & I went to a burlesque club & that was a blast. No touching obviously. I liked it more than him, I even danced on stage.

However... In many states clubs are full nude & "no touching" is not enforced. Many girls are also prostitutes. That's where is gets sticky. I wouldn't mind if FH was going to watch ladies still in undies dancing around. But totally naked in his lap rubbing his hands on her boobs. Nuh uh.

The strip clubs here are not full nude, they have to be covered below, and they are strict no touch.

@Amy: I know a bunch of girls who strip too, and it is just a job to them. And the ones I know and ones I have talked to during our strip club outings, wouldnt do it if it was a touch allowed club.

Hahaha....I can't imagine one of his brothers even wanting to go to one. But if they drop that brother off and the others want to go...I really don't care.

I really don't like it. I know what my dad did when he got married to my first step-mom which was gross. He slept with the stripper or some other lady who was getting paid for it on his bachelor party.

I am so glad my FH doesn't like those places. Their bachelor party is this weekend and they will be going camping on a lake - white water rafting, renting a boat, etc... I trust him, but I just don't like that stuff at all.

My husband isn't into strip clubs. He'll look at boobs on a computer and on me all day, but not strip clubs. He can find plenty of visuals without going down Strip Club Row.

We actually went to a strip club for my BFF's bachelor/ette parties (both her and her now husband wanted to go) and we were huddled in the corner like innocent lambs. It holds no appeal for me because as we covered last night Smiley smile I have my own. And maybe that's also why H doesn't care to go. His best man suggested it, I said "Go! Have fun!" H just shook his head and said, "Nope."

Not to mention, maybe it's TV and movies, but if we're gonna go to a strip club, the girls gotta be hotter than me. Which is really not *THAT* difficult to do, but apparently the girls hotter than me keep their clothes on. Sadfaces for H.

I agree with Amy, I think there is a misconception and yes, they rules vary by state. I used to go with my friends when I was taking pole dancing classes....I was way better.

In Oregon, full nudity, full bar, no touching and at some you can get a full steak dinner.

In California, full bar = topless only. No bar = full nudity.

Haven't ever been to one in Nashville though.

I also disagree that any guy who says he's not into it lying.

I never understand why women would have a problem with it. I have been friends with a few strippers and honestly ladies, I haven't met one that actually wants your man.

Most of them have a man (or woman) of their own. If they sleep with a customer, it's only for money, in that, the bigger issue is that your man is the type of man who would pay a woman for sex and that issue is much bigger than a visit to the strip club.

We will probably have our joint Bachelor/Bachelorette party at the strip club with all our friends.

I guess it just depends on your point of view. For myself, and most of my friends, it has nothing to do with a fear of touching or cheating or that the stripper is going to try and steal my man. It's a respect thing. We don't set rules for each other because we're adults and we have our own moral compass'. However, if he wants all of me, I expect all of his sexual desires...yes, even if it's just him ogling another pair of boobs. If I was worried about him wanting something/someone else, we wouldn't be together.

I am assuming he is going to one, just knowing the crowd he's going to be with. I couldn't care less.

I cant speak for everyone, but my personal views, it actually has NOTHING to do with the strippers themselves, what they do, etc. It has to do with my history with FH. We've had issues, worked them out, & I'm choosing to marry him despite the bad things he's done. I trust him, but that doesnt mean I'm going to let him put himself into a situation that can possibly offer some sort of temptation. Ex: should a recovering (for years ) alcoholic go with friends to a bar, watch everyone drink & get wasted - all the while temptation is right in his face? Some might say, well that person should be strong enough to resist. Right, & FH should be strong enough to keep himself in check. But it's not about him & his control, it's about me & my feelings, his respect for me, our past & how unfortunately it still haunts me with things like stripclubs or porn....

So no, it's not about the strippers, it's not about jealousy, even in my case it's not about trust. It's about RESPECT.
