Are you staying in your wedding dress the entire day?

Susana A, on December 13, 2016 at 1:26 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 105

So my dress is 3kg and I'm going to be wearing it all day from 12pm till 11pm.

I was thinking I should change since it's so heavy and big, but my mother said it's the only day I will be wearing a wedding dress and I should stay in it till the end.

Since my dress is ball gown I thought maybe I can get a white mermaid dress for reception?

Are you guys going to change your dress ? If so what kind of dress are you going to wear?

I would love to see them Smiley smile

Why are you getting dressed at noon?

I wore it once I got into it untill I took it off- which was about 415/430 PM to 1030 PM

I don't think I would have wanted to wear it for almost 12 hours- that's a logn time.

No way. The amount of money I paid for mine, I'll be wearing it all day and all night. I may not even take it off until the next week. Lol

If I'm going to spend that much on a dress, you better believe I'm wearing it all day!

I'm wearing mine all day...I might sleep in it...and wear it in the plane to the honeymoon. I love it that much. I won't take it off until I'm forced to.

I entertained the idea for about 24hrs, but decided I love my dress and I want to wear it all night. I also want to add that my wedding will be in China, so a 2nd dress is common, but I decided against it.

@jo we have to be at the church by 1pm , the ceremony starts at 1:30.

In my culture the groom has to pick up the bride from home and they have to enter the church together. I have to be ready by 12 pm

I'm planning on wearing it all night. To be honest, I wish I could be wearing it right now.

Planning on wearing mine all day until we get to the hotel for the night! It's the only day I plan to wear it so not taking it off early. It is really flowy, light and easy to move in though.

My outfit isn't a traditional wedding dress, so yes, I'll be wearing it all day. Not having to be uncomfortable was one of the reasons I went non-traditional.

I also have a ballgown. Mine is nowhere near as heavy as yours though. I wanted to make sure I could be comfortable in it the entire day.

I had mine on at 1pm and didn't take it off till around 3am. As heavy as it was I wouldn't have changed out of it even if I had a second dress

I plan to change into something else for the reception, closer to when the real dancing begins.

@jo I'm Armenian and sometimes our weddings last for 3 days, so this is normal for us.
