Are all your Bridesmaids wearing the same shoes?

Anonymous, on December 13, 2011 at 3:39 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 44

My wedding is in April so the girls will be wearing long dresses.

two of the bridesmaids have decided that they would like Pumps with glitter on them, which was fine with me, w.e they dont mind spending $70 on the shoes they picked out, I havent talked to the other two girls about shoes yet just because i know they arent going to want to spent $70 on shoes and not to mention those glitter pumps have a high heel on them, so what do i do ?

I guess i dont really care if their shoes match they are going to be wearing long dresses anyway

No, my BM's are also in long dresses so I just told them to wear something neutral and formal. So no red Chuck Taylor's or Toms for my girls!

I only have two bridesmaids and I gave them the option to pick their own shoes with two stipulations- they have to be silver & I have to approve them :-0

I have 5 BMs all with the same color dress and same length with different styles. I encouraged them to all wear different shoes and accessories to let their style shine through. I have no interest in trying to make them look all the same. $70 is a substantial amount for shoes IMO.

Yeah I want silver shoes. Hopefully feminine and pretty but other than that, I don't care. their dresses are short too so they have to be pretty shoes.

something like these is what I envision but I'm nit gonna be picky

Nope- told them I wanted black strappy shoes in the height of your choice and not too much bling (any questions send me picture msgs) and all the ladies but one have the perfect pair already in their closet (My FSIL doesnt wear black shoes ever I guess). Doing this was much more budget friendly.

No, their dresses are long so I asked them to just wear red shoes of their choice.

Mine are...but I bought them (and a pair for myself). Their dresses are all different as are their jewelry, so I thought the shoes (and hopefully a bolero would be a nice matching touch! Here they are...

If they are wearing long dresses, why are you worried about their shoes upstaging yours? They are shoes... which will hardly be seen.

I only have a MOH so she can wear whatever she wants as she doesn't need to match anyone.

My girls are wearing knee length dresses. I just said a black shoe, maybe a sandle since it's summer. They can also use a pair they already own if they want.

Mine are, but I am doing a themed wedding so modern shoes wouldn't fit Smiley tongue I am buying them all the shoes pictured below. They are only 15 dollars each and can be bought in their sizes.

HOnestly, I don't even know what shoes they wore except I know Cindy's broke right before the wedding and she had to wear the flip flops I bought them. All I asked was that they wear black shoes. All of them already had black shoes so no one had to buy any plus no one had to alter their dress because they just wore shoes tall enough to make hemming unnecessary. It was awesome!

My bridesmaids aren't wearing matching shoes. I told them black or silver, shoes or sandals, heels or flats (except one BM who if she wore heels would be taller than EVERYONE at the wedding so I was a bridezilla and told her she needed flats). The dresses are short, but I want them all to be comfortable (two of them wouldn't make it down the aisle if they were in heels) and easy on the pocketbook.

They are wearing different black shoes, I've been in weddings where we all had shoes died to match our dresses and also in weddings where we were told to wear the same color, either way is fine. Let the girls who want to wear the heals wear them and let the girls who don't want to wear them wear flats, remember they are standing up for you, you don't want them thinking that their feet hurt through the whole service. The best wedding attendant gift I got was for a 4th of July wedding where the bride bought all the maids flip flops! I'm not doing that for my january wedding but it might work for April too.

My bridesmaid are all wearing the same shoes and they have long dress only because most of them work alot and it was easier for me to shoe shop for them. I picked out something to fit everyone budget and also something they can wear again. They are only $25.00

Mine aren't, I don't really care as long as they're the same color and dressy (they don't have to be too formal, just dressy)

All my girls I gave the option of wearing whatever they wanted, as long as they were black shoes and open toe'd
