Yeah, my day started out with the doctor shoving a speculum up my hoohah and then I spent the rest of it moderating a random family fight which was super annoying. I needed a little pick-me-up too.

Mrs. O - I used to be that way when Cate was little. I forget how old you are. I can tell you when I hit 34, it was like I was a teenager again. I have heard that His/Hers gel put out by the KY people works wonders.

@Adrienne, if there are comfort/logistical issues going on, you can always ask your doctor to refer you to a specialist. My doctor's office has a nurse practitioner on staff and that's actually one of her specialties, which I think is pretty great. Women should have an outlet for those kinds of questions - men take little blue pills with pride these days, we should be able to do the same thing!

Yes, another vote for age making a difference. I've always had a pretty healthy sex drive but OMG it spiked in my late 20s. Then last year I wanted nada and I thought there was something wrong with me but there WAS something wrong with me, I had a hormonal imbalance and fibroids on my ovaries. So it actually hurt, which made me want nothing to do with it, which messed with my head, and I'm just now getting back in the swing of things. (So to speak. We don't have a swing.)
