Serena and her cakes are the best!!

We had met with a vendor much closer to our venue but when we showed up for a cake tasting and he didn’t even have any cake for us to taste after a 2.5 hour drive, we were beyond thrilled to find Serena’s magical little shop about 45 min away (and she was able to fit us in for a tasting that day!!). Not only are her cakes DELICIOUS, she was very reasonably priced, doing the groom’s cake for half the price I had been quoted everywhere else!! She also delivered the cakes two days in a row, for the rehearsal dinner and ceremony. I can’t say enough great things about Serena, she is so talented and I wouldn’t hesitate to hire her again.

Wonderful Desserts

Sugar cloud set up a whole dessert bar for our 4/20/19 wedding at Hawkesdene in Andrews, NC. The cake was stunning, the set up was beautiful and everything was DELICIOUS!! Couldn’t ask for anything more!

Heavenly at first bite

Serena at Sugar Cloud made the most beautiful and delicious wedding cake I have ever had!! I am usually not a “cake” person and at first didn’t mind if we only had a small cake that was hidden in a corner. But after meeting her in person and trying all of her delicious cake flavors in her quaint shop in Highlands/Cashiers... we fell in love. With Serena, her shop, her approach and most of all her flavors! She is truly a talented baker and can design anything you want! We ended up with a 4-5 tier cake and I would have regretted anything less! We also did a kitchen cake of additional flavors so our guests could experience her talents just as we did in our tasting. We chose several flavors and I have never heard feedback on a wedding cake like we did. We were also able to save some leftovers for a family brunch the next morning and it was still just as moist and delicious! Counting down the days until our 1 year anniversary when we can eat it again ;)!!! Go visit her... you won’t be sorry.

Sugar Cloud Baking Company did an AMAZING job on our wedding cake and dessert table. In fact, everything was SO good that we didn't even get a full piece for each of us after our cake cutting. This was because our guests LOVED it so much. We got so many compliments on it. Cake tasting was made easy and they listened to me and guided me through any questions I had. My husband and I can't wait to order cupcakes in the same flavor as our wedding cake now!

My new husband, myself, and my parents visited Asheville from South Florida in October for our food and cake tasting--Serena of Artista cakes just blew us away! Her samples were fresh and delicious and her ideas for our cake aligned perfectly with what I had in mind. She is the only cake baker I have met that has sketched and colored a mock-up! Fast forward to our wedding (it was 1 week ago)... OMG! Our wedding cake was without a doubt the best cake I have ever tasted in my life! I'm pretty sure my husband ate 4 pieces at our wedding! Her cake was beautiful, moist, savory, and just delicious! Thank you, Serena, for the incredible cake! We loved it so much we are already half way done with the top tier (we just couldn't save it!). We figured we will order a replica from you on our one year anniversary :)

Sugar Cloud created an amazing dessert bar for our wedding and the guests were all raving about how delicious everything was! My only regret is not getting to taste the mini pies, doughnuts, or tarts because after leaving to take a few more photos at sunset, the entire dessert table had been wiped out by our guests! Thank you so much, Sugar Cloud!

Serena, owner of Sugar Cloud Baking Company, is the most creative, professional, and talented cake designer I have known. She created a beautiful wedding cake, along with absolutely delicious cupcakes, for my daughter's recent wedding. I even asked for some special cookies, designed to look like the Canadian flag (the groom is from Canada), and Serena delivered. The baked delicacies from Sugar Cloud not only look fabulous but they always taste delicious! I strongly recommend you look no further than Sugar Cloud to take care of your special wedding day!!

Perfection. Serena was AMAZING! We inquired about having a custom cake designed for a 60th birthday at Old Edwards Inn about 10 days before the event. DONE! She not only provided a beautiful sketch, she worked with us on custom flavors to incorporate the birthday girl's favorites, HAND-PAINTED the event logo to create a sugar cake topper, hand-piped the logo around the outside of each layer and even delivered the cake during the event so that it was a surprise for EVERYONE! My client is a huge advertising executive in NYC for a large global agency and his attention-to-detail on colors, design, branding, etc. is second-to-none. He was ABSOLUTELY THRILLED with Serena's work. Her fee for her level of artistic ability was excellent and her actual cake (each tier torted with 6 layers of cake and icing) is DELICIOUS to taste. We only had 45 people at our event - but our 65-piece, 3-tiered cake was GONE at the end of the night!

Sugar Cloud and Serena were wonderful! The cakes were beautiful and delicious . Even though the distance from Sugar Cloud and our venue was a curvy treck, the cakes arrived in perfect condition . Serena is just wonderful!

Delicious and beautiful. Seriously, it was hard to choose which flavors to use in my wedding cake because they were all incredible. I narrowed it down to four and asked to have a slice of EACH layer in the room to enjoy after the reception.

Working with SugarCloud and Serena was a dream! Everything went smoothly and perfectly and we could not ask for more
The end result was a beautiful wedding cake that our guests are STILL talking about! Not one crumb was left!!!! so the only thing I would suggest is order more than you need!!!! She also made Linzer cookies, a donut hole tower and provided champagne cake push pops for our party favors! Each dessert was amazing! Our guests were wowed! Choosing Sugar Cloud will be the easiest and best decision for your wedding:)

Serena was a pleasure to work with and our rehearsal dinner cake was the hit of the night! From the minute we met her and had our tasting, to our big day- she was responsive, warm and her cake was incredible! She sculpted a golden retriever for us that looked just like our dog! Serena created an amazing dessert bar for my daughter's wedding!! She listened to what the bride and groom had to say and put together beautiful and delicious cookies and cakes that incorporated family heritage from both sides of the family. The Hungarian cookies, Highland beer pops, macaroons and Scottish cookies flew off the table. Her creativity and dedication to "pure" ingredients is obvious in everything she does. In addition, she went out of her way to make sure the "goodies" arrived in Georgia in perfect shape.

Sugar Cloud Baking Company was a dream to work with. Serena was as sweet as can be! We had a dessert bar for our wedding and our guests absolutely loved it, as did I! The setup was super cute, but more importantly, it all tasted amazing. I would most definitely recommend this dessert company.

We cannot say enough about Serena, her amazing talents, and her staff! From start to finish, she and her staff took the time to speak with us about what we wanted for a Groom's Cake for my son's rehearsal dinner. She listened, asked questions so she would know exactly what we wanted, and even sent us pictures so we could see what she was thinking before we agreed on the finished product. She is simply AMAZING!! We are all still talking about the cake and the brew pops!! Serena is truly an artist and an incredible baker. Our only disappointment is that she is in NC and we live over two hours away. I would visit her shop everyday to enjoy her amazing creations!!!

I cannot say enough good things about Serena at Sugar Cloud Bakery. She and her staff are amazing. She was easy to work with and very accommodating. The cake was delicious as well as beautiful. The delivery was on time. She was always responsive to my emails and/or calls. The grooms cake of "The Beatles" was awesome! We felt the cost was very reasonable. I would certainly recommend her. She is conveniently located near Asheville NC.

My husband and I loved working with Serena! From the moment we met her, she understood our vision of what we wanted on our wedding day. We were so impressed with her work, especially the cake that she made for our rehearsal dinner night. Our dog Joey could not be at our actual wedding and so Serena made us a "Joey" cake! She was so attentive to details that we had given her about Joey and it made our day extra special. The cake was also a real crowd pleaser! We also really enjoyed our apple hummingbird wedding cake and kept hearing from guests how much they enjoyed the favor as well. We feel very lucky to have worked with such a talented cake artist and I would recommend her work to anyone!

She was so attentive to details that we had given her about Joey and it made our day extra special. The cake was also a real crowd pleaser! We also really enjoyed our apple hummingbird wedding cake and kept hearing from guests how much they enjoyed the favor as well. We feel very lucky to have worked with such a talented cake artist and I would recommend her work to anyone!

Serena was wonderful! Not only are her cakes as delicious as they are beautiful, Serena was also willing to work with our budget to get the most bang for our buck. I would definitely recommend her!
