  My boyfriend (now husband!) picked out my vintage style engagement ring here and had a great experience, so we came back and picked our bands at the same place. It's a tiny adorable shop with plenty of free parking, and everyone inside is very knowledgeable and nice. Lots of great vintage pieces. And fun non-wedding jewelry to look through while there, too. Highly recommend.

  I cannot say enough about this wonderful place. My husband and I tell everyone we know to go to them. Their staff is upbeat, pleasant, sweet and friendly. They have an affordable, gorgeous selection of modern and antique jewelry and all different kinds. They resized my great-grandmother's ring for my engagement ring and put on a new back. They also sold us our wedding rings. They are the best!

  Solovey is independently owned and provides exquisite service. You can find new, antique and estate jewelry and keepsakes here. He purchased my engagement ring here, and we later purchased my wedding band and the earrings I wore in the wedding (all of the above antique and STUNNING) at Solovey. This is just the kind of service with a smile you always hoped you would get from an independent jeweler.

  I submit the fact that both my wedding and engagement rings are from here as the best evidence that we loved what Solovey has to offer. If you like the style of vintage/antique rings (or such jewelry in general), you should check out the real thing - they have an extensive selection and I had a hard time choosing among them. Both rings had to be resized for me too, which they did quickly and well. We had gotten several recommendations from friends who bought rings here or use their appraisal services so we felt pretty comfortable before going in, but even so we found both Tracy and Stacey to be friendly and helpful. I also appreciated that they tolerated multiple and lengthy visits by me. Their jewelry is not necessarily inexpensive (although seemed to be priced well relative to similar new jewelry we looked at) but for both rings we paid less than they were marked at so I think the prices can be somewhat negotiable.

  Solovey Jewelers is a really unique shop in the heart of Mclean, VA. We felt a warmth upon entering, and we purchased both my engagement and wedding bands from them - both antique from the 1940s. I believe Solovey has the largest selection of vintage/antique bands in the whole DC area. We looked at several other places (including Tiny Jewel Box in DC), and nowhere else could hold a candle to Solovey's selection and variety of styles. Be warned, though, that just because it's vintage doesn't mean it's cheaper than brand-new. You are paying for antique pieces that have stood the test of time and still look stunning. I knew I wanted antique rings, and if you are even considering it, check out Solovey... and ask for Stacey (she's great to work with).
