Before our engagement, I went to Washington Diamond to try rings on and see what I liked. There were a lot of different options and I was able to take aspects from a few different rings to create a truly custom ring. My then boyfriend, went to meet with them after I had given all the details I liked in the rings and he worked with them to pick out the diamond and the final touches. The ring came out amazing! I get complements on it all the time. Before the wedding, we went back to try on wedding bands. It was a really special day and my husband got to try on all different rings since he had never worn jewelry, he wasn't sure what he'd want so it was really helpful trying everything on. The process for getting the ring cleaned is really easy and the staff is always kind and knowledgeable.

After having checked out a few other diamond stores in the area, I was disappointed with their lack of knowledge and/or service. It was then a friend recommended me to Washington Diamond. I had wrongly thought Washington Diamond was pricer than other diamond stores; they are not. From the moment my husband and I met with Tom, we were put at ease. The project we were working on was a complete reset to a diamond which included hard to find shield cut diamonds and a custom made band that had several requirements. Tom immediately had sources to call and stones for us to see the next day. Mind you, these are not stones that are readily available in the market - even for jewelers. He also went to work on designing a custom setting and had his goldsmiths work on the most perfect ring which fits beautifully against my entity band. Tom and his team included small, personal details which make this piece very heartfelt and stand out. I recently upgraded my wedding ring after 20 years. Thought I'd go for a completely different look this time. I went from a lovely 18kt yellow gold, partial bezel ring to a beautiful 18kt white gold, halo style ring. The mounting of my new ring resembles a crown resting on its lower bedazzled edge, which is accented in 18kt rose gold. I love my new ring! -- the design, the unique luster of the white gold, the rose gold accent, and the pave diamonds that cover the front of the band, and the sparkle just brings it all together. If you're on the fence between platinum and yellow gold, the uniqueness of (18kt) white gold might be worth your consideration. And, I would highly recommend Washington Diamonds located in Fairfax, VA. This was my 2nd purchase from them. Excellent customer service, high quality merchandise, and competitive pricing!

Tom and team at Washington Diamond were extremely helpful in helping me select an engagement ring for my fiancée. I knew I wanted a vintage style to match her tastes, and Tom was helpful in finding the right diamond and the right setting to create the perfect ring.

When going to other jewelers, I felt at times that I was being given a runaround or trying to be steered towards a lesser quality (but more expensive) stone.
